Your best bet is to get the numbers from Gameguard.....but then your going to piss off all the anti gameguard guys for doing so.

You will never get accurate numbers by asking on the forums.

If you use Gameguard to collect the datta make sure you have consent 1st or your going to be screwed.

I use to play L1 and they use to send us all the chronicles in the mail have us install them and then 2 weeks after they sent out the cds they would bring down the servers and restart them with the new chronicles info online.

Perhaps they are going the same way with L2? :) It be great for many people to have hard copies of l2.

Yeah most have DVD players nowdays tehos who dont can easely geto ne for 10-20$ LOL, in fact you can get DVD burners for like 30-40$

Remember when I bought my first DVD burner like 3-4 years ago.. costed me like 400$

And if this is for distribution of chronicle updates, you'd be better off asking if people have a decent postal service. A large proportion of your NA userbase is nowhere near NA. Something I feel is oft overlooked by NCSoft NA.

There are so many reasons to upgrade to the NT kernel-based OS's (2k/xp/2003) over the 9x series that it's just silly to stay with 9x.

I'm running XP at the moment, and the only problem I have had with it (besides the standard look being of a childs lunch box) is that a lot of old DOS based programs dont work (Red Alert for example :D). I never had that problem with 98, since it was DOS based itself!

Cost me around 100 for my 8x dvd burner, which NC would bring out the updates on DVD to your house. Remember when L1 did that on CD :)

I remember filling out a survey/poll about my system's hardware whenever i update Half Life.

Maybe the next patch could have an optional survey like one of the ones Steam uses. They only take a minute or two and are pretty straight forward.

That is the silliest thing I think I have ever seen on these forums besides the fact that any server is better than Bartz (just kidding there).
My best two cars were well over 20 years old when I bought them and my current truck is well on its way to 12 years old.
It is interesting, since I am considering a really old car for my next one, seeing as how in the next 10 years, gas will be so costly, I will have to own some type of bicycle to get to work again. At least I will get to have one more American Hot Rod before I turn into some old, cranky man...

You click Accept AFTER GG runs. So you haven't given them any authorzation to do anything yet. Of course if you downloaded the client then you have accepted but if you just happened to find a CD somewhere (Back of an EBGames Truck =X j/k) you haven't agreed to anything yet.

Edit: Is the EULA in the install? Haven't done it for many months now so I don't remember.

two things:
1. I had a DVD drive. it swallowed a bug (literally, a large beetle), and when it spun up, squished it and ruined the lens. disgusting, truly, truly disgusting. you have no idea.

so no dvd drive atm, no point either, dvd movies get played elsewhere, and not enough games come on DVD to make it worthwhile. I bought a cd burner to replace it, which was useful.

What if the player who clicked is below the age for legal consent. Also the EULA can be changed. After playing many times I don't think anyone bothers to read the EULA more than once. Anyway, this is my last post on this subject. I just wonder about such things and really don't care.
