New Board Avatars

Hi everyone!

We are happy to announce new "stock" avatars for the official Lineage II message board! You can choose a picture of your race and class from the list for use here on the message board. You can see an example of these new avatars under my name on the left.

To use a new stock avatar:

1. Go to the My Home section of the message board and click Edit next to "Personal information, email, password, etc."

2. Click the "Use a stock avatar" radio button at the bottom of the page and click the Change link.

3. Select the avatar from the list and click the Use this Avatar button.

4. Click the Submit button in the Edit Profile page.


Please note that the stock avatars that were originally in the list have been removed.

Click the >> arrows in the pop-up to see the second page of avatars, including Dwarves. :)

It is definitely better than the previous stock ones.

Another great improvement would be to provide hosting for the avatars. You would be able to check the size and weight of the images more precisely and if it of course would increase slightly your server load it would on the other hand lessen drastically the pages' load time. And that for the price of a GB or two of HD space...

Each page is loaded atm as fast as the slowest avatar which ain't that pleasant.

Go tick that checkbox in the forum admin pages and make us FAST ! ^^

BTW why they arent animated? If i remember corectly on korean lineage site they was animated gifs.

Hey, they actually went through the trouble of making the male DE blink.. even though male DE's dont actually have eyes of any sort. :D
