I have +7 dex now, with +4 tat and doom light, this makes my Dex stat an awsome 42. I was wondering if it was +8 would that make a huge difference? I did a search of the forum but i could come up with anything.
Please help me with this before i go get the dyes :)

There has been mention that both str and con will derive considerable benefits to their attributed effects should players raise them over 40. (ie 41+ )

I do not believe the same has been said of Dex. Dex influences far more combat affecting variables than Con or Str combined. I may offer a speculative suggestion that in order to preserve balancing they have left the effects of Dex linear in terms of benefits post 40. However that is only an opinion.
Irrespective of this you will still see some returns on pushing your dex higher past 40. I do not know tho whether there are any soft caps which will result in diminishing returns past a certain optimal stat score.
Why not have a go ? You can always remove the tat and post your findings on the forums for posterity's sake ;)

My opinion about stats mods is that if your going to do something then take it to the extreme without seriously compromising too much of other important features. So for example, I have squeezed every HP I can get into my dwarf, +4Con -4Str, Doom and Health SA. Each on their own are moderately ok, but when put together with buffs they make a huge difference.

youve got +4 dex, but -4 ... ?

if youve lowered STR, your accuracy will be high, but damage will be low. likewise if youve -con, hp will be low, but shield block rate // OR evasion will be high. not both.

so +8 will make only a huge difference if your dye setup made you go -3STR +3dex//-2Con +2dex/+doom light. or the other way around.

in short, depends what you lower. i would do -2 Str -2con +4dex. this is balanced and not too penalizing.
