Any suggestions, links etc on how to level a prophet faster if you are using two accounts on the same computer
i am considering starting a second account but would be playing off the same computer.
i have a 65+ hawkeye, 30+dwarf and a selection of other toons sub 25
what would be the best way to power level a prophet with my own account
or is it best i just solo it?
any ideas much appreciated

Start up a dagger on the other account and level them together. That's what I did. Now I'm working on getting an SE.

leveling a prophet starts off leveling the same way as a mystic, then continues as a cleric, and finishes as a prophet.
the subtle subsidiary classes really help how u decide to level.
lemme explain:
as with any sub 20 toon, levleing is fast fast. not simply fast. so nuke your way to 20. (windstrike, ice bolt, use acumen3 potions, get buffed when possible, and smak dem ***'s with utter coolness.)
now that that is out of the way, level form 20-40 as a cleric (play the healer class and you shouldnt have any problem to get grps.) get a catacomb party and really grind as fast as possible 4-5 Dss spamming melee tanks. if u want, grab your dwarf out and pole your way to 40. up to you.
at 40 with your C grade, grab your hawkeye and grind as usual with it. at 65 your mobs should be giving you around 30k exp solo, so to grp with a lvl 40, will still give you about 25k exp or more while 5k exp is most excellent levelling at 40. and as the levels approach the 8 lvl difference mark, youll notice you and your proph will be 75/67 respectfully. at which point, your 75 will get exp in a grp the same as lvl 70 so really only 2 lvl differences.
this is a very generic guide, im sure there are more detailed guides available.

I'd like to know what gives this kind of xp solo besides the top floors of TOI or very deep in DVC (which aren't very soloable)? At level 67 I only get ~6-7k per kill at FG. The Angels in TOI give ~10k xp but that's in a full party.
Anyway...with my prophet, I solo'd her until around level 25 or so which went very quickly. From 25-35 I dualboxed her with my scavenger and artisan, which also went pretty fast. From 35 to 44 I dualed with my wife's BD (she's upper 50's). Though she stole quite a bit of xp, the kill rate was decent, and it really didn't take long to level up. I also got into the occasional AOE party which is by far the best way to level fast.

[/ QUOTE ]eek, dude. cmon now. hunt solo in EV, or in a catacomb (witches or dark omens) youll get 11k exp and up hunting elders in EV, and at dark omens 3x that. Hell, even Patriots gives 17k at 51.
sheesh. they are soloable if you do it right. pull one mob at a time. never stay in the same place longer than 3mins with that mob pull it to the hallway/next empty area. spam ss and rest after every mob (youll get hit for more than 50%hp soloing. its tough.)
and if youre goin to dualbox, nevermind soloing by yourself. solo with your healer. (contradiction i know). let your healer heal you/buff you but dont party it. let your healer sleep/root/debuff and watch your exp get cut in 2. fast exp you say? undoubtedly.

like others have said nuke to around 25...
then put the cleric in a party with you he and just solo with your he... by the time you get to lvl 75 on your he your prophet should be high 50s low 60s... after that power lvl your subclass until it gets to the same lvl as you prophet and just put them in party and let them hit 75 together.

I dualbox with my lvl4x SH'er, and I hunt at alligator island.
The "archer" type out there gives quite good xp.
The tactic I use is
1. Root it with Prophet
2. 1xhurricane no SS
3. 1xhurricane with SS
4 1xShadow Flare with SS(thus getting the almost 20%-25% extra XP due to over-hit)
I walk around instead of running, so the "Clear Mind" skill (for the SH'er) regens the MP rather quickly.
I get like 5100 XP for both the SH'er and the Prophet so thats quite nice.
The best part is that I can kill none-stop, when the buff (by the prophet) runs out I usually are right below 1/3 MP at the SH'er so whil re-buffing I use Body-to-mind and finish with a coulpe of heal from the prophet.
This tactic also works if u have one more toon in the party, the only difference are the split in XP, but the kill speed are even quicker.

If you have a Warsmith friend who is 58 or above, get him to Big Boom it to 40 for you. Should take about 10-12 hours in Tanor Canyon next to Giran. If the Warsmith is higher than 68 then you could probably get it to 52 in ABG.
You'll have to do this before Chronicle 4 though due to the changes made to AoE and Big Boom.
And to all those that say it's an exploit......... I DON'T CARE. :p

How could that possibly be an exploit? You're using AOE skills that a particular class has and partying with another player. It would be like saying that out-of-party buffing is an exploit, or having a high-lvl tank hold agro while a hatchling hits a mob is an exploit.

Doesn't the new character get all the xp and the dwarf that is actually killing the mobs get none? I don't think the devs meant to give the arti a way to give all the xp from an ABG AOE pull to a level 3.
Not that I am saying that the big boom is a evil exploit that should get the WS banned but I do see what people who say it is an exploit are talking about.
edit: The difference between this and an out of party buffer or high level tank tanking for you is that with the buffer or tank the low level character does the damage, it is much safer and easier but the low level is still doing the killing. With the big boom power leveling technique the low level can be completely afk and sitting. :p

As previous posters mention, it is down to the fact that the player doing all the killing can manipulate the situation so that he/she gets none of the XP gained from the mobs and it is all given to a character far below the level of the mobs being killed.
That's why some scream EXPLOIT.

im still contemplating the idea... havent committed yet so still not 100% on the outcome of partying a low toon with a high toon
what would happen if i went into a catacomb with a level 20 mystic and just killed mobs with my level 7X Hawkeye
would the mystic get all the xp?

Not all the exp, but it would still get exp. I farm with a friends alt in lowbie areas, he seeds the mobs, I kill them. Dont need SS for it as I have high pattk and this way we can seed really fast. Anyway, the mobs are white/yellow to him, dark blue to me(Forgotten Temple and I'm rolling in A-grade) and he gets around the same exp he'd get soloing outside Dion. Now, the kill speed is higher so infact he gets more exp this way than he would get from soloing at Dion.

he will get proportional exp.
so lets say you grind a mob worth 10k exp solo; well with the prophet in there youll grab 5/7ths of that while the prophet would get the other 2.
with this distinct level difference the party bonuses hardly factor in.
