Echo Crystals

Allow us to make echo crystals using any 15 second MP3 file we wish. I know, I know, there are people who would abuse this by recording pornographic or inappropriate material.... so.... it would take 24 hours to craft these crystals, during which time, it could be reviewed by a GM. Once the crystal is "approved" it appears in your inventory, and that particular echo crystal can be recreated at will without going back through the approval process.

And of course make attempts to create echo crystals with inappropriate material a violation of the EULA.

i like the idea but it would put alot more work on the gms so i dont think its a realistic idea. but i would love to be able to play some nice harshnoise for everyone ;)

If Gms had time for it I think it'd be great. Although its one of the most easily abused, people could load Mp3s that aren't even music. I suppose this idea would be improved if a player could craft music crystals and choose music from a list that NCSoft provides, but then it defeats the whole purpose of being able to make unique music anyway.

Only if there is an option to turn off this music. I would hate to be roaming the land of aden and hear rock/rap/country/new age/Metal etc.

And I like this music! (well.. letss on the new age... and the country... though I like blue grass... well.. you get the idea)

Sovrath blue grass is the only music I don't like. And maybe country.

That's just the thing... the echo crystals are only 15 seconds long, and everyone has the ability to set the FX volume to 0.

Hey.. we can just make it so that if anyone plays a country or blue grass crystal, then they are flagged while the crystal is active... ^^

Due to the destructive capabilities of this. I think anyone playing country/blue grass crystals should also be flagged and attackable, even while in towns. Meanwhile they can not attack back due to the other char being in a safe zone, unless the happen to pull out a country crystal of their own.

same for rap in my opinion. If I wanted to hear about someone killing another person. I would watch a horror movie. If I wanted to hear cursewords I would get on a boat with a bunch of sailors.
