Yea, agreed. That's typical. C1 thru C3 have been like that. Should be able to start patching before the servers go up, though.

What happens to the PTS when C4 goes live? Does NC just shut it down until testing for C5 or does it continue as if nothing happened?

All adena, drop, exp, sp go back to the same rate at the normal servers.

No guarantees. For C1 and C2 there was no wipe until the next Chronicle. C3 was different - they wiped before AND after the testing period, then set it to regular rates.

The box looks quite cool for the expansion disks and i think it's a good idea for people with slow connections. All we need now is some advertising banners plastered on some popular gaming websites, some kind of 14 day trial thing that's advertised on the banner and a revamp of the website to accomidate the nice look of C4 and attract new people to the game.

Great to see that you guys at NC are seling those cds. Now, just a suggestion how about selling those cd's each chronicle with some sort of memorabilia item, like those little lineage figures I see floating around? I'd buy one just for the figurines.

I myself won't buy one because I have a fast internet, but, if that new bundle had extra Lineage stuff included with it, I'd buy that!

I have the full C4 Download from the PTS, and most likely will use the patch from PTS to Live, BUT because I am a collector of sorts, and I find value in having a CD, with fully patched client up to C4 I am going to buy it. Very very well done on this guys!

if we copy the major length files from the c4 version of the pts will they be good enough to save large amounts of time in the c4 live update again this time around ?

I've been critical of the handling of C4 and associated server issues so far but if you manage to stick to those timescales then it will be very well done indeed.

I'm assuming the update server will kick in from 6.00am?

Will the full C4 download be available in advance of Wednesday for those with slower connections or just to alleviate the pressure on your download servers?

It was said that there will be a "kit to conwert pts to live", so you will be able to use your's pts client to conwert it to live faster.

Has anyone seen any official word on what on-going things will be affected. I know clan wars will, and the manor. What about seven signs? Will the current status roll over? What about castle sieges? Will the times remain as-is? If we sign up to attack/defend before the patch will we remain on the list afterwards?

There has been an adjustment to the expected downtime -- the servers will be down at 5:30 AM PST on Wednesday. The updater and the installers on the official web site should also be available shortly after the maintenance period begins.
