This is my first char, i thought i'm go typical fighter type with lots of armor and stuff. Then i chose dagger because the sword attack woudn't do much more than a regular attack. Mortal blow never lands it's pretty annoying and i'm really broke so i don't use soulshots. Game is quite slow, i've been 20 for a few days now for lack of interest. Also coudn't find a quest i could handle but that's fixed now.

Anyway is rogue a bad class and should i reroll some uber unbalenced class.

Reroll to a nuker.

I tried rolling a mystique but i don't like the squishy type, anything else?

TK FTW !!

seriously.. ranged classes are much better than melee.. people say it depends on how you play the melee but theres no escaping it..

so if nukers are too squishy then roll an archer ... you can go hawk eye with your current character..

I'll try it.

I thought i coudn't do that because of my current weapon but i might be able to sell it in a private store.

Edit: but then again who would want a dagger right?

You can salvage your current char by dropping the dagger and grabbing a bow. Hawkeye is a good solid class to play. Daggers were nerfed into the ground and there is no relief in sight......

There area couple of caster hybrids that are fun to play too.

Necro is a good choice, flavor of the month so to speak and gets even better in C4.

Warcryers are also good caster choices.

If melee is really your thing then SK or DA is the way most people are going at the moment.

Warcryer is a fun choice, but its incredibly annoying to level 1-7. No spells, you are kinda squishy, and have a crappy weapon. Once you get a spell, its much more interesting.

...huh, I always loved duoing with a dagger, with my Orc shamen. Dps is very nice, just they aren't good in pvp.

Depends on the PvP, but back on topic. I'd say give an orc mystic a try. We are hardly to be considered squishy and get to enjoy the benefits of weapon/armor/buffs/damage all rolled into one. Can pretty much do whatever you want until 40 then you get to make the nice choice of ally vs part support.

The hawkeye part still looks good just because you already have the character to 20 and it is closer than a new reroll.

Just stick with it, the game really starts to pick up when you start grouping with and clanning with people!

If by chance the dagger you have is d grade you can do an even exchange for another type of weapon using the blacksmith of mammon, if it's no grade yer kinda screwed though.

You can upgrade NG weapons to D grade at the weapons shop in starter towns. Which is still much cheaper than trying to buy it outright and much faster than trying to sell a weapon that no one is likely to buy. This is assuming that you have a little bit of cash on hand.

BTW, #1 rule in this game: ALWAYS upgrade your weapon first unless you are a true healer. Better weapon = more dmg = faster kills = faster money = faster XP = better gear.

No D upgrades. NG only.

I know everybody says that daggers are nerfed to hell, and it's true that they aren't what they used to be in c2 but i've played an Abyss Walker on the regular servers, and a Treasure Hunter on the PTS and both were a lot of fun. If you really like dagger classes I say stick with it. If you have no particular preference go Hawkeye.

I was pretty sure that you could make the leap from NG to D grade. Apparently I was mistaken.

Can you trade weapons in Gludio ? If so, perhaps you can hit D grade there ?

You can trade weapons in Gludio, just not to D. Any town with a newbie guide allows gear upgrades. You can upgrade to top NG in starter villages, even though the shops there don't sell it.

Thats why I said reroll a nuker. At higher levels though nukers are far from squishy. Tons of 99.99% chance landing debuffs such as sleep and slow make it hard for any other class to kill it. Not to mention the best robes have insane P.Def bonuses which practically makes it light armor. If you really don't like squishy then go Necromancer. Seriously read up on these classes. A nuker that transfers 50% of the damage done to its servitor? Umm that makes... a 10k HP nuker.

nukers tend to die more often then other classes in PvE. This is mostly due to lags and such. A melee can be relied upon to keep whacking and trust on his armor and hp to keep him going. Nukers that are lagging are helpless and dont have as many hp/armor to protect them.

Nukers are the best class to play but they are very vulnerable to lag.

Tried the bow, hated it, rerolling a mele cuz i can't stand the squishies. Any suggestion, i don't know the abreviations so could you use the full name plz. Someone suggested SK and something else but i don't know what that stands for.

Shillean Knight is an offensive tank. Though not quite at good as tanking as the other dedicated tank classes, they make up for it by killing faster then the others.

I mean... ye don't need much defense if yer opponent doesn't last long enough to swing her sword yes? :D

I'd also like to recommend them, as they've a good mix of spells that'd give ye the mystic kind of feel - and they're fast paced. The thing that turned me off about the warcryer was the casting speed. Ye've got various debuffs, and a good health draining spell.

And raise a wolf. ;)

Probably "Blade Dancer" or BD.

Though these are all lvl 40 class names.

Use this link (http://www.lineage2.com/guide/race_darkelf_changejob.html) so you can get an idea as to what races have what classes and how they develop.

Well, a SK is as good a tank as any in pve, buffs, healers and health weapons make up for low con ^^ PVE, any tank is good if it's doing the job it is meant to be and has the support. But if they have to be tanking DDs, then SK and DA are by far the best ones. Paladin and TK are defensive builds with heals and DA/SK are the offensive tanks ^^

If you wanna take lots of hits and dish out dmg too, SK is the choice. Or DA if you wanna have a cool panther that you can send at yer enemies and whatch as they flee in terror once that pussycat starts spamming pet SS ;)

O.O i'd get a kitty!

No seriously i'm trying SK, (hope i got that right, dark elf right). So far so good, i just wish i didn't have to sit all that much but i'm pretty sure that's a noob's wish. :p

Woodsman

Not just a noob wish.

The best way to avoid sitting is to team up with others. Find yourself a nice healer to duo with.

And when you hit 25 and can afford to lose 500k adana you can get yourself a pet that will heal you a little bit. Not enough to keep you running, but enough to make the sitting time shorter.

Hunt green mobs.

Essentially, just fight mobs that give you the least downtime. That is the secret.

What's the best place/way to sell varnish for a lvl 12?

I kinna managed. There was no one on to ask to but i ended up getting direction. Mostly selling in Guldin or Guildo.
