Go to Dion and shout, or look for shouts.
Most people go to find new recruits in Dion, especially the low level recruits.

Someone in the clan who has "clan rights" (so at least the leader, but often clans have recruiters too) invites you. So they select your name, and then a window pops up prompting whether or not you would like to join.
Also don't get impatient with these forums. Your first two posts happened within 2 minutes of each other. Expect slower results.

Playing around with the interface helps quite a bit in that regard.
You have 4 buttons, Something with the face(i forgot what it's called), inventory, Map and Options. :p

Target the person you want to invite, and click invite in your clan interface. (press Alt + N to get there)
