There needs to be a Global Announcement of when Raid Bosses respawn. Everyone knows about illegitimate players making mad bank (not only in-game but outside of game) because of their unfair advantages of breaking the user agreement to the game. If a clan has like 3 parties in ToI or something and suddenly its announced XXXX boss has spawned we all have a fair chance at actually raiding before illegitimate clans/players come in and poo on our fun. It could also even encourage mixed clan/alliance raiding. Not all clans/alliances are large enough to raid and raiding is one of the best ways to acheive A grade equipment. By globally announcing, or even locally anouncing when raid bosses spawn EVERYONE in game has a fair shot at raiding.
you really expect to do really well in a mixed raid at the second the announce a new boss spawned ?
and... illegitimate clans/players??? care to explain ?? just because they cant talk english or sell adena online ( which most people do when they quit for real, yes your friends 2) dont make them any less legit then most people you know walking around in gear which was funded with partially ebayed money

yes mixed clan/alliances raids do work, there have been some in the past. And ANYONE who plays L2 knows about illegitimate players/clans. There are clans out there that you ONLY see doing raids, then when there aren't raid bosses up they disappear. Legitimate players won't accept the kind of deaths some of these illegitimate players take. I see them go in there decked out with SH in CDL mode. I have seen them get wiped repeatably. Also veteran L2 players recongnize old names, names which USED to have a different owner. Even lets say they ARE legit, there should still be announcements when raid bosses spawn regardless.

IF you're too lazy to scout the bosses out, it's your own loss. How about taking a low lvl alt(even lvl 1) to the boss and leave it there, from time to time you can check if it's there. Do this for all the bosses you wanna raid and you got a good network for raiding. Also helps you to spot enemies doing raidbosses.
The RB Farmers aint that fast or do it so often that you couldnt do it yourself. There's just way too many bosses around for them to take all at the same time.
Mixed raids = works only if the clans/alliances can come upon an agreement regarding loot. Otherwise it just might turn into a gank fest ;) Oh ya, those work during events like Dark Lord returns too, since bosses dropped a [censored] of stuff so then it was not that big a deal.
A global spammage when a boss spanws, no thanks. A local one? Naah, those minibosses spamming nonsense in shout is annoying enough already.
C4 gives you the adventurers guildmen, so you can find all bosses, why make it even easier? It's not that hard to scout em out really.

So to raid effectively I need to buy a scout account?.....no thanks, I like my suggestion better :)
I have made alts to check up on bosses every now and then but it just isn't effective and when you got 'professional' raid clans that are online 24/7 a typical player just can't compete. And the raid farmers are quite efficient on our server. We have figured out their work schedules a little bit to get some bosses before them at times but for the most part they are quick ones.
no not buy a scout account, put one of your other chars near a boss, log out, check, log in done. like you said you did. might not be effective, but nobody can do it in a different matter so its stil lfair
and ive been around in partys that spotted these so called "raid boss farmers" and they die pretty fast :P and you got a boss all for yourself. this is the kind of conflict the game intends you to do. compete over bosses and hunting grounds

Indeed, and with a clan/ally placing alt scouts, you can cover all bosses. Also, you can kill the farmer clans >.> PVP for the boss. Drop their tank or tank healers in a supprise attack and they're screwed. Then wipe them off the field and kill the boss.

raid bosses die in about 2 mins (and usually 10 min after they spawn)
I wish how fast you organize your ally to get in PvP mood and gather the required numbers.

Well put yourself in the Raid Boss farmers position. You have 18-27 botted characters, mostly nukers with tank group/buffers too. You can kill any boss in the game within 2-3minutes.
Now factor in that RB farming is your job and you do this to support yourself in real life. You have plenty of time to devote to such a thing.
Are you telling me that you think there are still too many bosses?
A good RB farming squad can take down every single boss within their level range at the exact time they spawn, everyday, forever.
The only limiting factor stopping them going after every boss that spawns is level limits and drop reduction as a result of this. Which is why we see squads of lower level raid boss farmers, happily gaining B grade raid drops from lower bosses without really harassing anyone cause no one really does those (not that they could with the farmers doing them).
It is up to the GM's to spot these people and take them out of the game regularly. I say regularly because by the time one squad is banned, two others are vying for their position as dominant farmer squad.

I like this suggestion. I think there needs to be something done to STOP raid farmers permanantly. We've all seen them spawn in almost right after a raid boss spawns and take them out, then all log off at the same time, and repeat this over and over.
1. Make raid spawn periods random. Don't make it fixed. You can still have the same wait "timer" but you dont have to spawn it right after the wait timer is over. It should be a random occurance.
2. Raid spawn announcements sounds like a great idea. At the very least, clans will be there to PK botted farmer clans if they show up to take out a raid and permanantly stop these activities.
3. Raid bosses should be harder to kill. It should not be a 2-3 min affair. I'd say at least 1/2 hour. Make them tougher and resistant more. Make them have dynamic minions that can and out-think botted raids. Its really dumb that botted characters can take out a raid boss at all. This should indicate a SERIOUS flaw in the game mechanics if this is possible in the first place.

Well, taking out a raidboss aint that hard. Tank keeps aggro, healers keep him alive and recharged and nukers blast away, so yeah they can bot it to some extent. There's live players in those groups too, they're not all bots. We got a farmer ally too, but they cant take all bosses at the same time, and raidbosses do spawn more than once a week. We've had our share of 65+ Bosses, all the way to 75 bosses since we scout them out regularly. If you see the farmers massing for raids, that the time to go raid yourself. If they're in Aden region, you go for Giran region and vice versa.
A boss drops in 2 mins, no probs. But the moving from a boss to another takes more time, and this is the factor that allows you to actually raid too. The farmers have to move too.
Then there's the other alliances out there too, doing the bosses so saying that farmers dominate em is wrong. Or you guys got it pretty bad out there on other servers >.>

Personally I like this idea, or some form of it. The Adventurer Guildsman (not sure if this is the name, but whatever) from C4 could also say, when you click on a boss, whether or not it is up.

I can't stand that raid farmers control raid mobs from legit players. There's no way to stop them either unless you and 30 others play 24/7.
