PS: dont use much of technical terms, I'm largly clueless about computers.

Lets start with the basics.....

Is your computer like a Dell, HP, Compaq, Gateway, or is it a home built system?

I also got that error at some point. What solved it for me was updating the graphics card driver to the newest i could find for my graphics card. :)

Hope this can help you solve your problem.

i don't know if this could help but i have a similar problem with another game when FPS were lower than it suposed to be. I've checked the AGP option and i was in disabled.

I've installed the drivers of the mobo (i forgot to do it in the last format) and the AGP was enabled again.

U could try this.

I hope it could help u.

Obviously you re using onboard video, who's drivers do not support the game. You will need to buy a good AGP video card and install it, being a PIII you probablywant to max the amount of ram you have as well to 512 meg. Thats the only fix I can think of. Splatter knows his stuff.

To be honest tho a PIII is the minimum computer to run this game, but its really the barest of minimum, with C4 you'll almost be stopped in your tracks. You would do better to use that computer to run word or excel stuffs and get a newer one for gaming =/
