Best set up for a Paladin that doesn't solo(ie.. constant tank)?
I was thinking -9 STR +4 Dex +4 Con. Or would it be better to +4 Men to get better MDef?
Best for tank is... without tattoo.
And as for men, u can't touch it as a fighter.

If he doesn't solo at all, I think what he suggested is a good tattoo combo. Especially good for raid tanks.

It's also good for a paladin in PvP - more health means more HP to heal with. ;)
In PvE, it probably makes aggro near impossible to keep, especially if he can only one weapon (which should be a health weapon for a paladin from what I gather).
-INT/+WIT is a popular paladin tat, because they don't have viable INT spells anyway, and WIT helps the speed (and reset) of their heals, and their sleep resistance.

It all depends on your armor. FP and Doom, I wouldnt bother with the Dex tats. Con+4 Str-4 is what you want to do.
When you hit a-grade, if you go NM, I would slap on Dex+4 Str-4 for a couple of reasons. 1. You lose your shield block bonus and the set has -2 Dex. Dex helps shield block. 2. You will get back the -3 Str from the Doom bonus and NM adds 4% p.atk. That will more then make up for the additional -4 Str. If you go DC heavy, I would just stick with the Con+4 Str-4.
At 72, I just removed my Con+4 Str-4 tat. I just dont need it anymore. You cannot touch you Men stat. As a DA, I didnt want to mess with my Wit or Int, so I cant advise you there. Hope this helps.

I can't see getting an armor set bonus then canceling it with tattoos. I have the DC set, which gives + con -str, so I will prolly go with +5 con +4 dex -9 str. With SA health on my weapon, I should be good to go tanking raids and such. When I need to do more damage, I can break out my wolf.
Edit* thanks for all the help.

The reason for NM is the PvP bonus(sleep/hold resist) and p.def, the drawbacks are the -Dex and loss of shield block bonus.
DC is a great PvE tank set....increase to heals efficiency, shield block bonus. I just dont see any reason to nerf your strength anymore then needed.

+Str not -Str
More strength means you can do more damage and hold agro better.
Use a Crit weapon or haste weapon and have health (cheap middle C will do) waepon for raids.
-str tanks suck for PvE and the reason people don't invite them is DDs with VR can tank better than them.
Remember at 64 you get Shield Fortress so for raids you can activate it meaning dex doesn't matter as much.
My latest tank setup was
Tallum Heavy
Tallum Blade Haste
+4 Str -4 Dex
+4 Con -4 Dex
+4 Wit -4 Int
Good attack speed and HP
Ok Accuracy
Ok Crit Rate
Low Movement
Great Pattack and Agro Ability

I must say, DC with +4 con +4 dex -8 str tats, with a -4int +4wit tattoo sound nice for a raid tank. You can also try NM heavy if you can afford it. It will offer a slightly higher P.Def, plus the invaluable 5% damage returned - which will add to your ability to maintain aggro. Just a small warning there - when you decrease str too much you have trouble carrying supplies, such as soulshots and CP pots. Try +4 con -4str tat first, and if it doesnt look too marginal add the dex one.

CON determines how much you can carry, not STR.

I would usually agree with +STR on a tank - but not on a paladin.
'tis not a good combat medic that collapses after three heals.

IMO, in PvE your HP has little importance. You are a tank because of your anility to reduce the amount of damage per hit. It doesn't matter how much hp you have if you are getting smacked around. If you have higher dex you can block more, and thus take less damage which is easier on your healer. If you have more strength you can kill faster and keep more aggro, which helps your healers as well.
In pvp though, of course you want as much HP as you can get your hands on.
This is just my opinion. Hop on the test server and try somestuff out before its too late.
