crystallization ?

Dumb question but I just got my artisan to 20 and am wonder what the skill crystallization is for? It says "makes crystallization possible". but i have no idea what that means. :eek:

D-grade items have a crystal value (you can find under items in the library on this site).

When you drag and drop an item's icon onto your crystalization slot on the inventory screen, the item is destroyed and you earn the indicated number of crystals.

Crystals are used:
in crafting new items
especially for soulshots and spiritshots
for summons
for purchasing items from Giran's luxury shop.

The value of d-crystals are fairly stable, related to your server's tax status. 650a each, or so.

There is a little hammer at the bottom of your inventory now. If you drag an item of D Grade into it, you will get a confirmation dialogue - if you press 'yes', the item will be destroyed, and you will receive Crystals: D Grade based on its value.

As you get higher level, you will learn to crystallise other grades of items.

Those crystals are used in crafting, and to use certain skills (summoning skills).
