UPDATING to c3->c4

Ok.so does the updater update c3 to c4?(when u start the game the spashscreen comes..everyone knows what im meaning:-))Or do i need to dl the FULL gamedl from downloads?and does it work with my old cdkeys?Please i need some info about this one.Thanks allready!

Once the server update is finished later today you can connect your existing client as usual. It will then update the client to C4.

You can dl the full C4 if you want. That will possibly get it done faster.

Your old CD keys work.

Thats when the server is supposed to come online, however update server has been running already for some time. If you have a PTS client + Live client, just copy textures, systextures, voice, animations, music, staticmeshes etc. folders into the live and run update ^^ Almost all files are compatible, the patcher goes thru in a matter of minutes(do this only if you know what you're really doing)

NC say themselves how to convert your PTS copy to retail. Just copy the PTS folder, then copy the provided new lineageii.exe to the new live folder.

I patched my PTS a while ago but it won't connect to the update server when I click 'Check File'. It just keeps saying the connection has been terminated. Instead, if I click 'Start' I go to the PTS server. The PTS itself did update the other day, so if I were you Charmelle I would check to see if you really are fully patched and not just got the PTS upgrade :)

So either the update server is down or it is extremely busy. I have been trying for hours so I suspect it's down atm

there are 5 srv down at the moment... i think it's to patches the c4 into c3 to update it to c4 when we sign on to the game. it's down from 5:30 am- 12pm PST...so check back in a few hours and it might be up...

I am fully patched, thanks for the concern. I'm in login screen but cant login since login server is down. My other client is at the same time on PTS so it clearly shows I got it fully patched ^^

Mareena, nooby, who needs a conversion kit when they can just do a few folder swaps and vola, done. Just bring Login server and Teon up and I'm good to go :)

hey i dont know how to convert my PTS to LIVE. Can someone explain it...I was gonna do it on my own but i heard its risky to do it when you dont kno what yur doin...So can somone walk me thru the steps. PLEASE :)

This is what I did: Had PTS fully patched with lates PTS files. Then did the following: Copied from PTS folder to Live folder the following sub folders: textures, animations, music, voice, staticmeshes, systextures, l2text, maps and sound. I left the system folder intact. Then I started up the c3 client, which connected to update server, proceeded to check my files, downloaded a few files(+system folder updates) and vola, I was done. Fully patched, took 10minutes.

If i download the entire C4 client instead of just patching, do i have to erase my previous Lineage II folder or can i install the new client over the old one ?

[/ QUOTE ] CRAP!!! Ok so i did what you said and i got like 10 errors!!! what do i do! they all say i(squarethingy).\system\fire.dll the file cannot be created. Please varify available disk space and write permissions. do you wish to continue? what do i do!!! AHH lol someone help!

My wife updated yesterday and I did mine today. Mine went fine, but hers had a connection problem too. She redownloaded the updater from the official site, deleted the directory created last time she updated and redid the update. Now she's good. By "good" I mean she gets to the login screen hits enter and nothing happens. I see this too so I'm assuming this is OK at this point.

Glaiden, you most likely did something very much wrong :) None of my clannies has had any trouble with it, you just need to know what you're really doing. For you, I'd suggest downloading C4 full install, is just that much easier :)
