View Full Version : I'm changing servers

Well. Me and four other friends started playing again. I have seen exactly seven (7) people and not one of them knew english.
Of the afk shops, (50 or so), more than half the people had lkdjfhgdhgdlkjh names.
So apparantly Kain is not the place to be.
What is all the talk about relaxed servers? More importantly, which server has the most ACTIVE players and clans?
Thank you for taking the time to answer.
ps, I understand that everyone is going to reply with their own servers. But hopefully people are going to be honest because at this rate, more people are going to leave than stay after the first month and that is bad for everybody.

Bots are on all servers.
Silly names are on all servers.
No Server is rated "good" in terms of connection other than within 30 mins after a server restart.
There are no statistics about which server holds how many players, so every answer to your question can only be a WAG (wild *** guess).
[/list]
My WAG is, that Kain, Bartz and Teon are the most crowded servers, but I would not dare to make any assumptions as to how many of them are real players.
Also I would not dare to assume that "at this rate, more people are going to leave than stay after the first month", since it does take far less than 1 month to reach the areas of the game, where real people are visible at all times. The starter towns and areas cannot be crowded anymore.

Well on Teon the crowds start from Dion :p Im usually trying to butt in some of the hunting places since there are many ppl hunting(around Aden that is-and that Cem....ugh cant kill 1 Taik orc supply leader :()

About the AFK shop names, some ppl just dont wanna spend any time making up the names, and others are...well you know.
You'll find them on any server, as well as those silent trains of toons choo chooing from mob to mob hour after hour.
Starter towns are usually like ghost towns, only a few players around at a time. But once you move to Gludin, it should get a bit more lively. Gludio then again is a bit more silent but Dion and Giran are heavily populated. Oren has a steady population and Aden is the place for all the high lvls.
Gotta agree with kitten, Bartz, Kain and Teon are perhaps the most populated, which one is the biggest...well only NCSoft can tell that. Teon is the only Euro server and thus our events are at times that suit europeans better. We also have lots of different nationalities so you might find non english speakers out there too. Most do speak some english atleast tho.
I'd guess all servers have active clans and alliances, the number of players on the server ofcourse is a limiting factor, so again I would say that Bartz, Kain and Teon would be the most active ones(more players, more activity).
Relaxed servers are something Koreans got >.>

New Player Bonuses
Welcome to Lineage II!
The following bonuses are provided for players new to Lineage II as they begin their first adventures in Aden.
About New Characters
If there are no characters on the server, the bonuses will be applied to the first character that becomes level 6 and end if this character reaches level 25 or above.
If the first character that becomes level 6 is deleted, the rest of the characters may not receive the new character bonus.
If the first character to become level 6 loses a level, and the player makes another character level 5, the bonus will be applied to only the first character to achieve level 5.
If the character loses a level after reaching level 25, the character may not receive the bonus.
New Character Bonuses
Additional Quest Rewards
Characters designated as new characters, if they perform certain quests, will receive additional quest rewards that are not given to the other characters. Fighters receive 13,000 No Grade Soulshots, and Mystics receive 6,000 No Grade Spiritshots. They receive Soulshots and Spiritshots twice: when they begin the game for the first time, and when they perform the weapon quest around level 10. In addition, these new characters will receive more rewards in many quests.
Support Magic from Newbie Guides
New characters can receive various kinds of support magic free of charge through the Newbie Guide NPC located in each village. Buffs last for 60 minutes and are based on the level of character as follows:
Levels 10-24 - Wind Walk
Levels 11-23 - Shield
Levels 12-22 - Bless the Body (Fighter), Bless the Soul (Mystic)
Levels 13-21 - Vampiric Rage (Fighter), Acumen (Mystic)
Levels 14-20 - Regeneration (Fighter), Concentration (Mystic)
Levels 15-19 - Haste (Fighter), Empower (Mystic)
Levels 16-19 - Life Cubic
Exchange of Equipment
New characters can purchase higher-level items by paying the difference in the price between the equipment they have now and the higher-level equipment they want to buy.
In the starting villages, Gludin, and Gludio Castle Town, all No Grade weapons, armor, and jewelry can be traded at the weapons, armor, and accessory traders.

I changed from Bartz to Gustin... Less bots, less farmers, less pker's waiting outside of lowbie towns.
Though i left behind some toons in 50s + 60s to make switch last year i dont regret it.
I did miss my equipment/money at first...lol
havent played anywhere but devianne in a looong time, so my only accurate info for you is from there :P devianne, as far as i can see... is full of greek speakin elves who wear devotion sets till 40 and replace H with X... and i have no idea where they all came from  some seem to be really nice when you can understand them ^^ but the when is a little tricky... higher end is more english speaking and then you have your normal piles of farmers here and there, not as many pkers as there used to be only 3 or 4 regular ones as far as i saw from my baby alts.. but hey :p if you come here send me a tell.. we need new blood

Lol...
I noticed greek invasion on Devianne too...I do know Devi has best latency to Europe.
Nothing agaisnt them...just language issues when grouping...decent players just hard to understand... I left for a while now returned....shocked at how many greeks along with clans....Still proud to be on Devianne though...and not had any problems

With your anti-dwarf movement, please don't come to Gustin... Most gustonians have a great respect for real player dwarves... :)

And when they hit 20 they get a D weapon worth 1 mil to hunt with. Can you imagine not having to worry about buying a weapon until you hit mid 30's?

i hear gustin is a very dangerous server for your kind :P

Just curious :D

I will give you the lowdown from a guy who has been around the server curcit. Bartz server number one (#1) is just that. It was the fist, and is the best. No, not just in my opinion; the cosmos agree. I will attemp to justify this now. Bartz has the most NA players. The most NA players means.....more chances that you will find your niche. If you want pvp and drama, no better place. If you want to solo or group with some buddies without getting involved, that's pretty easy as well. There are quite a few other servers but they all pale in comparrison. They are shards of Bartz, living, seething in it's shadow. I'm sure I'll get flamed for that, but it's the truth. Good luck, and remember, if you choose any server other than Bartz, you will regret it later.

Well the busiest servers are those that have been mentioned before.
I play on kain, and yes there are bots...but I wouldn't say anymore than other servers though. I know there are quite a few 'real' players though. My clan has 23 ACTIVE members...for example.
