Well i had better luck. At least at first time i used disk . Installed as i hoped it would. I clicked on it launched into c-4 it was great. BUT ....... I was reading forums on laptop that said this would make c-3 unplayable. so ...... I just uninstall thats were the fun begins. So now i can play while i set it up on other p/c because I Know works as it did so far. Well when i started install i didnt get the same setup screen it asked me to pick 1 of 3 options . and all that lead to was reparing c-3 . Well i installed on laptop hoping for same results.... nope not happeing it it just reinstall c-3 all over again after it installed it completelyupdated it as well when i hit the start button and reinstalled c-3 over top of it didnt take that long but I realy didnt want a clean install. So went back to were i bought the game on n-c website I seems to be that the disk are all 4 chronilcels in one.
So is this c-d pack only good once ?
Why dont i get the same setup status like the first time i used it.
And last i should of left it alone until the server was rdy to play c-4 it probaly would of worked just fine. well at work now reading everyones issues . So maybe by time i get home it will link up to c-4 and work.other wise the disk was just waste of money. because if i still have to down load i dont see the point in it .
I want my money back .

I spent the $10.00 and errored out on disc 2 of the install.
The following error was reported, and no anti-virus software was running in the background at the time. I disabled them prior to install:
On file: giran_antaras_s.usx
Default Component Error
File: E:/data3.cab
Data error (cyclic redundancy check)
I want my money back.

I also had a Disk 2 Error....
It says:
Feature: Game Files
Component: Default Component
File: E:\Data3.cab
Error: Data Error (cyclic redundancy check)
Obviously there is an error with Disk2....and I am one of many who have it. @#% &*$@# why can't anything from NCSoft work right without having to go thru hell! :(

Yes i had the same Problem with Disk 2 i get this message
Data3.cad (Cyclic redundency error) which from my experience means the Disk is bad, mostlikly a Manufacturing error. Or Did any one else knotice the excesive glue from disk 2's pocket it was on my disk very hard to remove from the disk. How do i go about getting a new disk ? kinda sucks i paid to have it rushed to me just to not be able to use it >< waisted $22.00. GUESS ILL BE DOWN LOADING :o

Yep the glue on the packaging is really bad - I had the same problem with both discs 1 and 2. I cleaned a bunch of glue off the underside of the two discs and then installed no problem.
BTW - I didn't read everything above so someone may have responded to this, but I don't believe the login server is updating to C4 yet. I suspect that the massive update download after you install C4 is because it's taking you back to C3.

If you are experiencing problems with the CDs you received from the PlayNC store, please contact the Support team immediately through the web site at http://support.plaync.com. Please include specific descriptions of the problem you are seeing with the discs. Thank you!

From my own experience and from what most of the others are saying I can say with a fair amount of certainty that there's no software issue here - there is too much glue on the packaging - and the glue doesn't fully harden. Some of this glue gets stuck on the underside of the disc and the players then can't read them properly.
Not much to be done at this point...

Yeah after cleaning my cd which took alot of scrubing scratching the heck out of my disk >< i was able to load it on my computers. So id say it is the glue from the packing id still like a replacement disk 2. i stuck a napkin in Disk 2's slot lol cause i ******edly put disk 4 in it and got glue on it too but only the edge luckily.
