flagged chance to drop items lessened? rumour?

I could swear I read somewhere that your chance to drop items was lessened as long as you were flagged. In other words, your chance to drop items if you let the person go red was greater than if you had fought back.

Can anyone confirm or deny?

In other words: Being white or purple does in no way affect the cance to drop an item.

This is actually good for me then, as it is my first instinct to just fight back, now that I don't have to worry about dropping items, I'm good to go.

Did they change something on this. I know that I have died white to a mob and dropped a weapon before. Its only happened once but it did happen.

Nice thats good to know. It was freaky the when that happened. I had to have a clan member run all the way out into the middle of nowhere to get my bow. I thought someone was going to pick it up for sure.
