I think this idea of breaking apart the text boxes is great. Just wondering if there is any way to get only text to go in 1 box, and only system info, like attack dmg, etc. to go in the other? It is handy in alot of functions, but I find it pointless for the text box to be getting flooded with info while attacking mobs, when it is already being displayed in the box above it. So having a conversation with party while fighting is still difficult.
I did notice you can turn off displaying damage and consumables in the upper box, is there a way to turn it off in the bottom one?

The little Hammer symbol under the lower box (left side) will give you the options for the lower box. (Turn off System messages there).
Then in the game options (alt+X, Options), on the game rooster, you can deactivate the "consumables" hook for the systems window (thats the upper one) and you got a minimum of neccessary spam.
No combat in the lower window at all and only the necessary combat in the upper window.

Yes.
There is small button in the left-down corner of text box area. There you can customise your current text box much like you customise system text box in options menu. Note that there are several text boxes available to you, so you can costomise them individually (you have to use customisation windows for each box individually).
And by the way, welcome to Lineage2 :)

Wow, thanks :)
I didn't notice that little button, was only looking in the options section, which allows to to change the top box. I am really liking the 2 text box idea

I also discovered that you can make more than 2 text boxes, by clicking on one of the tabs, (ex. $Alliance) and dragging it to anywhere on the interface. Then you just drag it back to the main window if you dont want it separate anymore.
I find that the system box is too small for my likings.
So, I just turned on system and damage messages in my trade window, unchecked chat in the trade window, and then drag the trade window out above my regular window. Now, I have a custom sized chat box and custom sized system box. :D
