C4 Whining Thread

I want to winch, I want to complain, I want to whine non-stop!!!!!! I want to make a case against those habitual "Worst Chronicle Launch ever!" players.

In every Chronicles, there are bound to have players, after few hours of playing and PTS experiences, preached that the new Chronicle launched is the worst launch ever. They tried making appeals to players by stating pointers that affect their game play Habbits. To make the matter worst, they keep looping ard the "bad things" over and over again in many thread especially in matters such as PVP.

Pls do not get me wrong that we should not give our feedback when there is a need to and discuss openly. Though I have not post much nowsaday, but I believe I am one of those "NA NCSoft Critics".

But why should we focus on some aspect of the game which may not appeal to us and ignore the other improvements? C4 is the largest updates so far and there is so much content added. When I press 'M' in my keyboard, I wondered aloud when will I able to explore all the new regions and get aquainted with the new quests.

I do not understand the mentality of PVP players who whine non-stop how some class are being nerfed and strengthen. I think instead of whining non-stop about some stupid nerf, wouldn't it be better if you start thinking how to over come the PVP problem you faced due to the changes made. On top of that, open war PVP is not just about 1v1. Team work is essential.

Recently I saw a video on a PVP war between 2 clans. One side were a mainly nukers party with some Archers support outnumbered 9 players who had only one Necro and One SPS if I am not wrong. We all know how powerful a nuker party is, but the team that is in disadvantage overcome the problem they face and able to enjoy the sweetness of being a victor.

So why are the players who have toons that are nerfed keep complaining non-stop. Of course there are some credit in their arguement, but to repeatedly post long article over a very short period of time in many threads wun get anywhere. I believe some of the "nerfed class" had their glorious days before, but then where are you whines when you dominate the PVP scene?

The difference between pple like DM who make very harsh post and those who whine is this - Threads like DM's one reflect concern of the community whereas whiners who complain "Worst Update ever" is at best self centered.

However flawed this update may be, it has many features you can enjoy without much inconveniences of those faults. Many hard work has been put in to make this game a good entertainment tools. So give some credits will ya and stop posting "Worst Update ever thread". It hurts you know.

I agree 100% with all you said.

C4 Rocks, it has it's bugs here and there, but hey, we have it now. I'd rather have it NOW than in 3 or 4 months from now however bug-free it may be then(if it was pushed that far back).

Hmm for once I cant complain about this launch. It was brilliant fast and on time. Few bugs to be worked out for sure. But given the fact I was here from OB oh ya this was a great launch. And to boot the Forums look awesome. Somebody slap me I am actually happy here.

Oh great job NC and all the tech guys behind the scene.

People will always hate change, unless it favours them. And as someone else here said about bots yadda yadda farmers ebayers. Well if the game goes [censored] up there is always the l2j project. So to me I will pay to play until they sink the ship

I feel that i am the harshest person around when it comes to chronicle releases, their hasn't been a chronicle that didn't have issues.

But i have no complaints on the release of C4, and that says alot.

Uhm, the same reason that you complain if you walk into a restaurant with new glorious meals, but they now have roaches running on the floor.

Making good, doesn't necessarily negate or nullify bad.

other than the snafu with telling us to do a full check after the converstion from C4 PTS to C4 - before the live servers went to C4. It's a good realse. I hated getting disconnected four times while trying to redownload the file: ani/monster.utk file but after that was completed my conversion took about 20 minutes (that file took atleast 30 mins).

I give C4, the staff, and the web site redesign, a thumbs up.

i agree with the most posters before, C4 is great, here and there, there are some small bugs, like missing textures at powershot, but these are exiguous.
If there is a big bug, like enchant weapons to 65k, than i would flame, but these little bugs could always be fixed fast

Thats true, but does it help if one keep whining bitterly abt certain issue at hand. I am posting this as a fan of L2. Sure some NA NCSoft policies dun appeal to me and there are flaws in the game and the way it run.

However, is L2 as bad as some has preached? On top of that, if this game is really as bad as they discribe, shouldn't they change game by now? I would like to tell them there are many features in this game they can enjoy without focusing too much on the flaws.

Human is a creature that has the ability to adept and overcome. I do not have very high regards to pple who whine bitterly and crucified the entire game just because certain changes did not meet their appetitie.

Their negative feedback serves only to discourage and irritate instead of moving forward. This is wad I am trying to say.

And O, just being out of topic, if there is an infestation of roaches or pests, I garantee u there is no such thing as a glorious meal in that restaurant.

However, there are times when roaches manage to sneak in irregardless of wad measure the restaurant takes. So will that stop me from walking into that restaurant and taste the wonderful gourment inside? No I will not. If one choose to walk away just because he saw a roach from the road side crawling into the the premise, then it is his lost, not the restaurant.

Some issues are bigger than others, top of line is the continueing poor connection to europe, bad client lag and horrid compatibility to very modern machines, gameguard still being incompatible with many programs and other games (and before you say you don't need to have other games running, L2 has this "wonderful" feature called "you have to sit in town all day to sell stuff" ;) so unless you want to buy a new machine just for selling, people do play other games).

Thats just a small portion of it and they are legit major gripes.

That however said, NCSoft have done a great job in many other areas, they have been responsive and worked hard on adding alot of enjoyment both out and in the game. And also of course, many of the above mentioned issues falls under one of two:

1. Something that NCSoft NA simply can't do anything about, only NCSoft Korea. (though I wish they'd finally clear out how much they actually are capable of doing on their own)
2. Something currently beyond the scope of NCSoft NA needs or wants for the game.

I have to give props for where its due. Although I have some major issues with NCSOFT for Chronicle 4, I do believe this was the smoothest launch yet. All the new stuff the added are also a very welcome addition to the game.

I just with they would beef up their cusotmer support and actually respond better than the cookie cutter response of "sorry we can't help you because of blah blah balh".

They also need to add a lot more story driven content to this game.

i havnt played for that long so i havnt been here during a new C before but compared to the PTS launch it was so much better.

My biggest issue right now is the lag issue I and a few others are getting in the new areas. The basic problem is that everything will be fine until you turn the camera in one direction, then you load a whole lot of something for a full second. It doesnt stay loaded though and the second you turn around, and look back in the same direction it lags all over again. It isn't quite as noticeable for those who don't run two clients, but it's killing me to have this lag.

There are some negative points to c4 but for now, I'm actually enjoying grinding at level 74 in the new areas. It's pretty dumb how they didnt add much new content or even bother to revise any of the old content though. Aden is pretty much unchanged south of the goddard border.....well other than a superficial makeover with the npcs. But enjoying leveling at 74 is saying a lot in my eyes.

LordChaos666, I completely agree with u on what you have posted cause I face the same problem from Asia.

It sadden me not a little to see that NA NCSoft is not doing things within their means just to please their customer base. They keep posting long post about how they listen to gamers blah blah and wanted do something about it. I think they failed to see that it is not the big changes we are aftering, but small gesture such as setting up a relax server for players so that they can enjoy the full content of the game in a less competitive and spend shorter time. As gaming addiction problem rises, it become an issue for MMORPG company to look into the administration ways to tackle it.

On top of that, even they have boasted how outsource call center has helped them to serve the customer better, in reality, they do no better than say "Hello Sir, thank you and good bye".(most of the time)

And if you notice, I seldom see any polls put up in official website asking players wad they really want.(I forgot when is the last time I have seen it) I guess that says alot on NCSoft attitude.

However, I think u missed my point by a little bit.
Wad I am saying is that despite of wad u have experienced, L2 still be overall a good game and not as some has preached the "the worst launched ever".
