There coule be an NPC in each town centre, like a market manager, where each items being sold is listed along with the price and option to buy...this way if you were looking for something specific, rather than look at all the stores, u could search the manager to find the item and purchase it.

/findprivatestore is a little way towards helping but people still have blank store titles, or indescriptive ones, and people name items differently, such as CSS, SSC, (C)SS, SS(C), SS-C, C-SS etc all meaning the same thing but 1 way doesnt work for all titles.

The only problem that immediately comes to mind is congestion around the manager...any comment? :)

i want somewhere u can look to find what u want without having to look thru all the priv stores who couldnt be bothered to set a descriptive title, or who word it different...you might like it, but i dont so im 'suggesting' it in the 'suggestion' forum....i dont like needing an item and having to spend 3 hours trying to find it cos ppl just set 'CHEAP!!' or 'AAAABBBB' as a title....

if there was a manager that was in charge of selling everything, then we could just watch it for someone selling something a the wrong price, and get a great deal. running around and seeing someone sit down and then checking there store is more rewarding for me...although harder.

Actually a central market place is a good idea. NOT a auction house mind you. But a place/zone/area where there is an incentive for all shoppers to open up shop. Say the give 10% extra return on their sales? Some incentive like this would definitely get every shop owner to set up shop in that zone and centralize everything. Like a ADEN one stop shopping mall :)

in that case why just not make it so that you cant set up a store anywhere else?

Instead of 10% just have a free port to the place. If the Derby was a town all shops would be setup there.
