Hello everyone I am new to retail Lineage2, but have been playing on a low rate server for about a year now :). Just bought my account and started playing today, and i wanted to go TH. I have been reading the forums for retail for a long time now and everyone bashes TH's. I wanted to hear from a high lvl TH, and get the opinion of other ppl playing them right now. I have heard they are good or 'easy' to lvl, and bad at pvp. I also want to know if i can solo well with them till the higher lvl's and beyond. And if equipment and weapons are easy to find in the market place. Plzs help this 'noob' out with some info about the class. Thxs in advance

My first suggest it to look in your hosts file and make sure only 127.0.0.1 localhost is listed.

He said he came from playing on a private server and i just want to make sure the client redirect has been removed. I just helped another posting about having issues connecting to the server to find out he had a client redirect still in his hosts file.

No, no i my be a 'noob' to retail but not a 'noob' at computers :) i have played already on the servers and didn't have any problems connecting i am just looking for some help on deciding what class to play thats all.

believe it or not sarcasm is not the way to get help around here.
I suggest going to [censored].com and asking there, or other forums, or talk to the people in game. A lot of people play in game and dont even look at the forums, out of any MMO around i would say these have to be the most dead forums i have ever seen.

Believe it or not, I was serious. I mean, what's the point of playing on illegal servers if you can have someone hand you a toon, of whatever class and level, of your choosing to play?

Yes, go to those other forums. They'll teach you how to cheat on live servers, too.

2) In your first sentence, you said you've been playing on a "low rate server" instead of retail. If you weren't aware, that's considered both cheating and kind of pathetic around here. I'm glad you decided to stop, but it's kind of like walking into a bar full of cops and saying "hi, I just got out of prison!"...don't be surprised if you make a bad impression.
3) You got impatient that you didn't have the answer you wanted in under 20 minutes. Hello? Normal discussions on message boards take hours, longer ones take days.
4) You made a rather rude reply to TailChaser, who hadn't done a thing to you. Imagine walking into the same bar, then spilling someone's drink right after you said hi.
5) You're being snide to the people you're asking advice from. Ever heard "don't bite the hand that feeds you"? [/list] You probably didn't mean for your first impression to be so bad. Honestly, you might want to make a new forum account and start over, if you can. You've pretty much screwed your reputation already.

Don't go TH go HE. They are easier to play and ranged vs melee range always wins unless the ranged character is a total noob.

TH aren't all that.
The one thing they were pretty good at (griefing lower-levels) isn't even as good as it used to be.

Well, first off i would like to apologize to anyone that i offend by playing on a privte server i just didn't have the time to spend on retail until now. I didn't mean for my post to be taken in any mean way. I just thought i would ask a question thats all sorry to bother you guys. I just wanted to know a little about TH's i tried the search feature but had no luck, i think i didn't put in the right words :/. I still think i will make one anyways with or without your input on the matter.

i agree with splatter, choose a class you can imagen yourself playing for a long time, that you wont get tired of after a month or two, thats what realy maters even if way to many players dont argue like that.
