If you maxed out your fishing skills, I guess only thing to do is going for A-grade fishing rod. I guess it will be possible to catch fish with it, and use ***. else....S-grade rod... >.<

Quit dat.
I maxed out my fishing skills before I realized I shouldn't overtrain. I fish fine with a B grade rod.

Ok.. I maxed out my skills and I'm catching a good amount of fish.
I don't know if you got this tip or not but "don't watch the lure". At all.
just look at the "fishing health bar". If the bar is moving you reel and if it becomes stationary you pump.
I have not as of yet used the shots. Part of the reason is that I'm too lazy to do the quest. The other is that I seem to be able to catch fish without them. Also.. if you use shots at the wrong time the "health" will be doubled (or so I hear... it makes sense since if you use the wrong skill the health bar goes up... if shots increase damage I hear they also increase the health bar)
Hope that helps.

Oh yeah.. I know.
But the idea of going to where the mobs would be just for shots when I can catch the fish fine seems just "too much".
Kind of pathetic? .. YES!

How do you know what level skills do you need anyway?
I got me a B grade rod and got all fish levels upto 15.
What does that mean? I'm too high on skills/low, just right? What?
Ofcourse the reason I'm asking this is of this quote on the official info: [ QUOTE ]
If Reeling/Pumping skills exceed Fishing Mastery by more than 2 levels, a penalty will be imposed.

or on a more serious note, they seem to be selling well. Get the quest and just collect them while u hunt certain spots..

I started using fishing shots, and that seems to help alot. It's still pretty rough. All I know is that I'm using a B grade pole, fighting A grade fishing spawns ( aka, they drop A grade shots ).
