I have a lvl 48 prophet and i just got a wolf. The prophet currently has the FP set and beserker blade of my SwS, and im trying to make him a bit of a battle prophet :) How am i supposed to keep agro with my prophet so my little wolfy doesnt get hurt?
How much food should i have at one time??
Thats all i can think of for now.

A developed wolf hit's like a truck. A brand new wolf will just get ran over hunting with ye. :D
Yer gonna have to level the wolf to at least yer level if ye hope for it to survive well. Ye may wanna consider a tank alt just for the hate skill. Be sure to use the manor system - by the time yer wolf hits 40, ye should be sitting on an impressive sum of adena. (Me prophet reroll pulled about 23m on Seighadt by the time she was 40)
I can't tell ye how powerful our class is when paired with a wolf. If both of us crit at the same time, green mobs rarely last longer then 3 hits. It's fast - and it's cheap - and it's possible to solo well, especially with the self buffs.
And when yer wolf does get up there - hate generation is done by pure damage alone. So make sure yer damage output is better then the wolf's. Ye might even find yerself NOT zerking or even casting "might" in order to keep her damage down. As for dyes, I'm using +4 Str +4 Dex -4 Con. It is quite irritating when it comes to soul shots, so don't do the dex part until ye get to B-Grade, where ye only need 1 shot per charge.
As for food, carry only enough to keep from dropping everything due to weight. At 56, with -8 Con, I usually go out with 2000bss 100bsps 2000beast shots 200 wolf food.
