Now before I begin let me make it clear that this is the very, very first guide I ever made to any game. So please don't expect too much out of it. I'll add things to it later after I run further tests.

Now the main reason for this guide is to provide those having trouble saving up adena with a method to help bring the money flowing.

Lets start out with the basic idea behind the system. To each class different places work better then others...not everyone will be the same. Since I deal mostly with just magic types, I don't want to list my areas and get complaints from a fighter saying they are spending too much there. So for this YOU can apply this system to your favorite hunting spots to see which one is the most profitable.

Because the only thing normally with a good chance of dropping is Adena, for now it be wise to leave out items on this portion of the guide. What you should do is kill the monsters located in the spot you're hunting, atleast 3 times for each different one. Count how many times you had to use shots or health potions when fighting them all. Lets say for example you are using top D duals. It takes 3 soul shots each time, and you had to use them on average about 7 times for each mob. thats 21 shots used. Take that and the multiply it by the amount you commonly pay for those shots. The number you get is the base spending cost per mob you are hunting here. If you had to use health potions, take the price you pay for health potions and divide it by how many mobs you kill before you need to use it to get full HP. Take that number and add it with what you are spending on shots. This total will be the number you are looking for in adena only drops.

lets use some random number now...lets say 500. 500 will be the total spending cost for each mob you are fighting in your area. Now again looking at ONLY Adena, hunt your spot for about 30-40 minutes, taking down points.

If the mob drops about 500 or a little more...like 534a. This counts as 1 point.
If the mob drops much less, like around 400a or even less then that, this counts as -1 point.
But if it drops around 20% more then you are spending..lets say 600 or so, then this counts as 1.5.
And if it drops much more then that, close to double or even more then double your spending cost, it counts as 2 points.

Now this isn't factoring in items, or pulling extra aggro so this is merely a sample of what you can look for when hunting. When you finished hunting for 30-40 minutes add up all the points. If you get 1 or below it may be a good idea to find another spot unless you wish to stay in the same gear forever, and go broke ^.~

Thats it for now. Please give me your opinions and suggestions. I intend to add to this later, factoring in items and groups but for now this is what I have.

The Adena must flow!!

A good guide for those that do not seem to be able to party alot. Are independantly wealthy. Do not wish to be 52nd level and still in their D grade robes fighting with a Bloody Crucifix.

In addition to this you can also count some of the side costs of living in Aden.
1. Healing pots.
2. Gateway travel(who wants to hoof it all the time)
3. OE attempts to try and make yourself more dangerous.

Now one nice thing to remember is trying to hunt in an Adena reward quest area.

I am currently level 51SH in DV taking out green and white mobs with adena rewards(1000 years of lamentation) using BspsC. And coming out on top by a small margin.

If you read through the whole thing you would see that I included the use of health potions. ^.^

Thank you both for your replies and I hope some people can find this useful in their hunting.

another VERY good way for mages to make money when fighting is to use REG sps, it may be hard to find but once you find a dedicated crafter it saves you ALOT of money.

my EE using might of heaven (lowest power, lowest range, highest mp cost spell) w/ reg sps makes at least 250a per mob in DV. (which i would be losing that much per mob if i used blesseds) i got my csps at crafting price, 38.

here is my guidlines for hunting/grinding as a mage/nuker. It's very simple I use Bbsps 1 per spell = 320 adena. I find the mobs that drop the most adena for the least effort. I always look for white mobs I can 2 shot. Right now the mobs I hunt I can 2 shot = 640 adena. Most of these mobs drop between 1400-2200 adena per kill So thats a very good profit. Self buffed I make about 150-175k adena per hour solo. But the best part of it is since C4 started when these mobs drop a mat they usually drop more than 1 sometimes as many as 5 at a time.
