Lineage ][ : Chronicle 4 Scions Of Destiny

It has now been downloaded 13,000 times from fileplanet, is this a sign of alot of new players coming through or it's just existing players looking for a quick download?

Share your thoughts and what have you seen in the starter villages? (i havn't been to any starter towns yet)

I'm guessin that's mostly existing users who upgraded to C4 there.

I'm pretty sure fileplanet doesn't have freebie CD-keys to go with them (didn't see 'em if they're there), so new users would have to buy elsewhere.

this is what it feels like to me.

Up to now there has been minimal advertising for L2, now since C4 it's like they are releasing a new game, it feels like up to now we have just been paying development fee's to get the game up to the point it is at now.

The game now is like it should have been in C1, alot of content, stuff to do other than grinding, a huge map, tweaked PvP (altho some classes still stand out as being overpowered), a decent ammount of useful or semi-useful quests, lots of items all the way up the grades that pretty much all have their own texture, a user interface that is easy to use and looks quite good as well.

I have talked to quite a few people and they have agreed that this is how L2 should have been released. I mean half the people who i talk to that i have never talked to about L2 have never heard of the game..... ever. Im now hoping L2 makes it in to the mainstream MMORPG circuit like everquest and WoW.

This is not a moan, this is more like poining out what i think has happened, intentional or not, thats how its worked out.

I would agree with you Tillus.

C3 is what should have been the release and C4 is what the first expansion should have been.

This is why C5 is going to be so interesting as essentially we have no idea what to expect.

C1-C4 was essentially all talked about content: Castle Sieges, adding Wyverns, The rest of the Graded weapons (S grade was in the first Prima guide) etc.

So now that we have everything we've known was in the works we shall wait and see where they take this game.
