View Full Version : Level 75 fever….

You can see it coming in there eyes, hearing it in there voices, fell it in there mood – it is like a sickness that takes over there bodies and control it! You know it is on the way, even though they don’t see it jet – you try to reach out to them, but they don’t seems to see it, so what can you do!?!
It is like a bad curse over Aden spreading from one player to another - mostly hitting the people who is over the B-grade intoxication and can start to see the “finally” light in the end of the tunnel. A light which seems warm and will fill your body with happiness, a light all people are longing for and want to be bathe in – but look out!!
Trying to get to the light to fast might mean - you scrape your fingertips, when pulling on the small stone in the tunnel wall. You also might end up pulling some lose, which hits the people behind you and hurts them – they cry out, but you are way to long gone to see or hear there sadness…. the fever has hit you and you have been blindfolded by the light!
------------
I have seen the fever hit my community a few times and it made me sad every time, even thought I knew it was on it’s way, but what could I do… I had nothing to offer them, other then a friendly smile and a good luck – so now I ask the higher powers: “Spare my community from the fever and let me not get blindfolded by the light!”…..

So close myself and yet so far away,
so much time but none to spare.
Visit my shops while I'm gone this day,
on return I hope my stores are bare.

Looks more like angry at people so worried about reaching 75 that they leave friends hurt in their fast leveling.

Hehe I can spot a bit German/Dutch grammar-style there at least, so allow me to correct the grammar. Please do not take offence in me correcting the original post, I only wish to help :)

Trying to get to the light too fast could mean you scrape your fingernails, when pulling on the small stones in the tunnel wall. You also might end up pulling some stones lose, which will hit the people behind you and hurt them. They cry out, but you are already long gone to see or hear their sadness…. the fever has hit you and you have been blindfolded by the light!

[/ QUOTE ]When your clannies (and friends) are more casual players and you level away from them, so that you cannot party together anymore. It's sad when you arrive at a point where you realize that you really like everybody in your clan, but the way you like to play the game and the way they play it is not really the same anymore, and that you more and more often party with people from other clans when you want to see that xp bar move. Kind of like standing in your small, nice hometown and realizing that there is a whole world out there and you want to go explore it, but your old friends don't want to leave yet. It happens, people are not all the same, and there is no "correct" way to play the game.

That's called burning out. I do it alot. I grind a certain goal and take a few days off or just do casual play with friends on one of my alts.
I'll bre doing it again once I can subclass (**** server down). ^^
Need 40-61 fast cause I have to borrow C/B duals and only have A duals. =D

I agree, for some people succes is hitting 3rd class, getting to nobless, etc... For others succes is still be there in 2 years no matter their level, for others is to get a lot of money, for others to have a tight clan with simmilar levels, for others to know so well their class they can play with eyes closed and beat anything they face...
^^ Since the game can be played in so many ways the game can be beaten in many ways. It just depends on each person.
To me there is only one way to loose in this game, it's when after playing a few monthes you don't play anymore and say "I left L2 because it's boring and there is nothing but the grind". To me those people really lost because they managed to miss 5/6 of the game. The rest is all fair, you just have to find your little corner in the server with players that plays your way or plays in a way that is compatible to your way.
Just my oppinion. :o

We all have our own playing style and succeeding does not mean the same thing for all people… The thing that makes my game good and makes me fell like I am succeeding is the fact, that people trust me and “old” IG friends still want me to pm them IG (which I will do this weekend!) even thought I wrote this post, which in some ways also is about them – off cause they also knows me and knows it is not a expression of me being angry, but more sad!
It is always sad to see good people (IG friends) leave you, because there gameplay change and you can not offer them, what they are looking for now. This of cause don’t make them bad people and I would trust the people that “left” me at any time, and I hope they fell the same….
So this post might mean ‘friendship vs succeeding’ for some, but for me it is more like ‘friendship=succeeding’…..
PS. Sunspark – I am not offended by you correcting me, just think it is nice people help one another….. even thought it’s a Danish bad grammar-style ;) ….

I've made just about 7 mil in just casual fishing. Also once I get Ghp and Alacart2 recipes fishing will turn into not just a fun moneymaker but a rewarding way to equip myself cheaply for pvp and for when I solo.
If it were not for the "auto" fishers that have started to spring up I would say fishing is one of the things that NCsoft did a good job on.
If you see these "auto" fishers, cast freezing skin or blazing skin on them...helps the monsters they catch kill them since they don't switch to a weapon but rather wait for them to fade away.
Fishing is fun, but only when I have my shots, need to hunt some TOI mobs again to get a bunch @@.
The thing I like about this game is the pvp element. Mobs rarely change, and are predictable, but there is nothing like fighting another player to test your skills.

Too bad for nukers PvP (versus melee) is too easy, and not a test of skill. NCSoft hates melee people v.v
