It might of been more help if you actualy said what exacly you need help with.. Armor/wearpon type, hunting grounds, money making, party role, skills, or what even else..

Yeah thankx. I was just getting into that. So basically everything I guess. Can you tell us some of the things you were doing when you was at that stage?

It's too broad Keeana...
it would be better to either do searches for specific topics on this site so that you can get a better idea of "what to ask" or else just ask specific questions.
I would say that if you are a Shillien Oracle you will want to party a lot. go to Dion and see if you can pick up some parties.

Well at the lower levels, I got a decent melee weapon and had fun whacking mobs around. Then when I found soloing becoming to tedious, I went into the catacombs (they are free entrance for all below 40) and joined groups there. This gave me a good idea what to do as a healer. If I couldnt find anybody I would go outside and start whacking mobs again or teamed up with a dd/tank/dwarf.

But remember, you have to sign up at either dusk or dawn priest/ess, and be on the winning side to enter.

Thankx guys. I'll just try and keep this posted as I'm too much of a newbie to create newbie topics if you don't mind. I've been smashing spiders and dark schoolbuses. I need a weapon. I have a clan.

Out of curiosity, are you an Elven Oracle or a Shillien Oracle?
Keeana
02-26-2006, 05:48 PM
Oops!! My bad. I'm sorry. I thought there was only one Oracle. I knew I've seen you around someplace. We're on the same servers and leading the same path.

Basic tip: As a healer, your weapon isn't a critical factor if you group enough, although if you'd like to solo then you should get a good Patk weapon quickly ^.^. After signing up with the Priest or Priestess of Dawn/Dusk (I believe Dawn is winning on most servers, so choose them), get into a group and heal/buff people if you can't get organized with a good weapon.
Keeana
02-26-2006, 07:10 PM
This Patk weapon. Tell me more. Where is the Priest of Dawn located? I can't get into a group now without a guide. I can't see the difference between a group and the clan either. I'm heading for the Catacomb.

Cool beans^^ Though the next path I'm heading down, is the path to Warcrier =)

So I'm at what seems to be the entrance to the Catacomb with a pool of water. I can't swim. Maybe I won't be aloud in. Back to my Spider's Nest I guess. Oh yeah, some of the spell books for my profession that I have but can't learn them yet....
Keeana
02-26-2006, 07:21 PM
I've never gotten a bow before.
Champa
02-26-2006, 07:26 PM
Everyone can swim. Just jump in, and click as far down as you can.
Have you signed up for dawn? The Dawn Priest is usually near the gatekeeper - you need to sign up to get into catacombs and necropolises.
To see when you can use the spellbooks you have, click on New Player Guide in the menu to the left, hover your mouse over Races, Classes and skills, and select race. Then choose skills.
Keeana
02-26-2006, 07:47 PM
The guide book. Must've sold it or discarded for space. The priest must be in the next town. What about the Oracle? It's on the passing road to the next town from the Nest down to Gludin.
Champa
02-26-2006, 09:47 PM
There are 7 signs priests in every non-starter town. Look around a bit, if you can't see them.
You mean the oracle of dusk/dawn? you don't really need those for anything, unless you want to do a festival (if you want to help your side -dusk/dawn- win) - You can port there from the priest.
.. oh **** I forgot to press submit lol. My apologies if someone has already posted this.
Keeana
02-26-2006, 09:58 PM
What...ah...welll. Thankx anyway for sticking with me. I'm back to smashing Spiders and Schoolbuses. Come to think of it, I'd rather settle for seven hundred than dying for more at my level anyway. So please, please continue your submissions. I need all the help I can get before resorting to that warrior path I've been dreamin of. Many thankx for your graces. Say, can I get ya somma refreshamint?

I've got this Battle Heal and a regular Heal. How odd. I'm confused. You there. Anyone, anyone?

02-26-2006, 10:05 PM
Are you roleplaying? Loooool :D
I'll play your little game then.
As an oracle, your job is to heal people in your group. Find a place you want to hunt monsters at and type in exactly: !Healer LFG . Hopefully someone will come along that wants to group with you, so invite them into your group (in the status tab). Then go hunt monsters, lol. Also, what spiders nest and schoolbuses are you talking about? Where on the map are you at the moment?
In order to speak with the Priest or Priestess of Dawn, go to the nearest gatekeeper of each town-- and look around that area. The NPC you are looking for is clothed in red. Talk to him and join the competition. If you can't, its probably because its the Seal Validation Period instead of the Competition Period. If this is the case, wait until it is Competition Period to join.
Everyone can swim. Just click into the water and swim down and through the opening down below. Its quite easy but work quickly-- the bar above your head represents how much air you have before you start losing health from drowning. Good luck!

P.S. That post too entirely too long to write, lol. Also, is your first language English? ^.^

Battle Heal and Heal are exactly the same, there are only two differences: Battle Heal costs more mana and casts faster.
Champa
02-26-2006, 10:10 PM
And don't get too attached to it. You won't get greater battle heal, like you get greater group heal and greater heal. Greater battle heal is sole property of teh bishop.
But it will still be useful on low CON (HP) classes.
Box_of_Fox
02-26-2006, 10:15 PM
I usually only battleheal myself in emergency situations. Regular heal is just so much more mana efficient and the slightly slower casting has never been a problem in a PvE group.

02-26-2006, 10:22 PM
Oh, there are times it comes in handy. Like when you're partying with fragile spellsingers and they get aggro, who has no way of getting HP back (like the SH drain).
Keeana
02-26-2006, 10:28 PM
No seriously. It's really your game I'm playing. You're not getting anything from me. And while we're still on the subject, I was just wondering if I may: How far can a warrior go before having to resorting to teaming up with a buffer and sort? I can't even read some of these stuffs but I got so used to relying on guides when time was plentiful that it just got so hard to go without.
Under the Spider Nest. I'd say 24 vertical and 48 horizon, somewhere round there. As for the Dark Succubus. I call them Schoolbuses because it's true name is valgur and is not meant for children.
I spoke with a priest in Gludin(or at least I died trying), swam myself down the Catacomb, then Escape Scroll myself back as quickly as possible.
And no. English is more of like a second hand smoke for me. Think of it as a Mystic in Fighter Equipment. That'll be all. I'll be back. And thankx again. Cya.

I think I leveled to my late 40s/early 50s by myself on my tyrant. I didn't even attempt to solo after that, because I had joined a very good clan by then, and I simply prefered partying with them.
Did the ziggurat not let you in, since you escaped to town?
Keeana
02-26-2006, 10:46 PM
I died on my way to that priest. I wasn't about to die anymore so I bailed out. A room full of Red colored mobs is a pretty fearsome sight for a loner like myself. Well, back to the dark schoolbuses for me then. 48 horizon, 24 vertical.
Champa
02-26-2006, 10:52 PM
Oh, I guess you went to Ascetics? Yeah, that's too high level. You should be looking at Heretics Catacomb. That's lvl 20+ mobs. Do not fight them alone though. They're 4x HP.
I think you'd be able to find a party in the afternoon/evening/early night European time. Right now it's probably a little slow.
Keeana
02-26-2006, 11:03 PM
So that's the Execution Ground and the disruptor I've heard earlier. Who ever would've thought it being so far away and yet so.... I went into the Dark Omen Catacomb because it was cheap. Guess I'll be stuck with the eight legged freaks for a while then huh.
Keeana
02-26-2006, 11:12 PM
Almost a Wind Strike cheaper and I'm still looking for a replace for the slot.
Keeana
02-26-2006, 11:23 PM
If only I can get a bow. PK 2/3. How could I have possible gotten that and what exactly does it mean? Time to call in for the night. Maybe will try out that Execution Ground tomorrow.
Champa
02-27-2006, 12:06 AM
It means you have won 2 pvps (consented pvp, opponent purple) and you have PK'ed 3 (You went red on 3 people - killed them without them fighting back).
I wouldn't get a bow if I were you. Your accuracy is quite bad. Wait untill you get guidance (buff) - but even then I'm not sure how well you'd fare, with just Guidance lvl 1.
Keeana
02-27-2006, 06:26 PM
Ah, quite a little bit of useful infos there. Thankx. So umm...now, let's see.... Still at level 23 and about half way to 24 with about 789 a mob(not bad). Time for a bit more practice.
Keeana
02-28-2006, 06:39 PM
So that's it huh. I'm doomed. I literally being stuck at 23 and the meter won't bugde. And what more I'm about an inch away from the glory 25th level. If I don't get any help soon I might have to switch server and start off fresh as a fighter. Wonder what the clan will say. Please leave us. We praise your departure perhaps and most definitely.

02-28-2006, 06:40 PM
Why are you stuck? Did you run out of money and can't afford bsps?
Keeana
02-28-2006, 07:30 PM
I have a little bit of sum of money. I just can't level. I've been doing 789 and it's just not cutting it. I'm gonna head over to the execution ground to see what's over there. Or maybe even a quest might do?

Man, just find a fighter and group up, or even another caster type. That's what oracles are best for.
AC or NoS would be good, EG after 25 and after you have finished Leopold's black-lion quest (starts in Gludin V).
Keeana
02-28-2006, 08:05 PM
Quote, unquote. That would be an excellent idea if a fighter would actually come around and ask me for help. As far as the AC and the NoC, the EG or even the black lion, I have no idea what you're talking about. But thankx anyway.

Frist off, the noobie buffs are good till 25.
make a dwarf scavy before you go to past 25.
That clan your in, why aren't they helping you. why aren't you lvling with them, why is it that it seems like they are a bunch of noob idiots that just started (and the clan to) in one of the starter town and don't know jack about the game (just like you).
First off, succubus is not a profound name, not even close, the lure behind them is even in childern books, so grow up.
Abandoned camp which is in the gludin area is ( AC ), you are best to lvl there from 20 to 25/28..scavys are best to lvl out side dion town on those mobs.
NoS is necro of scarifice, south part of gludin next to forgoten temple, the GK will port you right above it if you use the port to lizardmen barraks...
It is unlikely to find parties till you are atlest 25ish, reason being is cause they is not a large inflax of noobie players comeing in, so till your 25 just find one or two people that will party with you. Once you hit 25 go to HC, first catacomb inside EG.
once your 35 start heading to PN it's right next to partisien hideaway. when you get to 40 you can party in Cuma tower, or CoB (caat branded) that in the giran area.
Stop soloing, your a healer class as a oricle, your job is sapport, you need to get used to pigie-backing off others for your XP, which will get really slow when your 50+.
The beenifet of being sapport, is you earn more money for the lest amount of work. Don't get me wrong, but healers got it tought, but they can be lazy alot of times to, but they are the soul reason that groups live or die.
As for quest, the black lion quest is one that you start in gludin, from the black lion guild captian; leopold. with you being a healer that quest will do you no good.
Talking to the adventure guildmen in every town, they will show you what quest are avielible to you per your lvl and race, Which you still have not told us what it is, tho I'm preatty sure it's DE.
As for weapons, that is not importent to your class, so much as robes are. at 20 + you should be in elven set.
at 40+ devine is best for healers, but karmain is a good choise to. how Ever, at 40 you need to get a +3 homocusu sword with acumen SA for better healing (M atk does affect it) and for faster cast speed. you will also need to get +4 wit - 4 ment, which in them selfs is about 3m to craft all 10 form the fishing.
Also make sure you get the fishing shot quest from the fishing guildman, cause you earn them from hunting in local spots around the map, the guildmen will tell you where.
Lastly for now, leave that wimpy clan and get a lvl 3 clan or higher lvl clan that has more members that are higher lvl, cause when you get around to it, you will fall back on there help. (for you alot of help!!)

Thankx for the lot of infos. I'm sure they'll be useful in the long run. But for now I'm counting on one thing at a time. First off, the clan. I'm thinking of leaving the entire server itself and start off as a fighter in another as i've stated before.
Keeana

About the Succubus(Magic Schoolbus) joke. I guess I didn't boder doing the research and just gone by appearance.
Keeana
02-28-2006, 10:19 PM
So then on my way to the execution ground, I got killed twice(mostly by friendly fire I guess), thus bringing me back down at 80. And now I'm back where I started about a week ago. I'll prolly be riding that magic schoolbus for weeks to come. On a side note: I've been handling quite a lot of time on my miniature fighters on other servers. Oh yeah, and this game, I don't trust this game at all.

Thanks for the info too .. I am also an SE .. am currently level 26 . and some of this info helps.
as far as using BSPS (blessed soul shots) its really expensive.. and it seems i only am having money for those right now.
I am currently wearing cursed legs and dev tunic .. to the fact that all my money goes towards BSPS's .. any suggestions on what i should do to get upgrades? should i not buy BSPS's ?
i was thinking about down grading my weapon to no grade so i can use reg sps for heals .. is that worth it?
Keeana
03-01-2006, 06:47 PM
Don't ask me. I'm just a complete noob. But a question must be answered. So there you have it.
I made a bad choice of choosen a Mystic as my starting character that lead to this ordeal of an Oracle. So I demoted myself and changed my position to Fighter type like. Cool....

[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, it's a good idea, the extra healing effect you get from using eg. D-grade BSpS instead of N-grade.
The only problem is that you have to run around with both a D-grade (for attack) and N-grade (for healing) and it all adds to your waights...... not to mention that you need to have 2 types of BSPS with you.
