Well just to make myself feel useful...here are what I would look for as a manor farmer....
Dark Coda - STEM
Braided Hemp can be made from stem, but Metal Hardner cannot be made from Braided Hemp. Do small to medium quantities unless demand is greater.
Red Coda - VARNISH
Varnish is hard enough to come by, and Cokes can be made from easier to obtain base mats, even if you need to do both parts seperately. Only switch over to Cokes if the bottom falls out of the Varnish Market. Medium to High quantities is good. We've actually seen Varnish come down a bit lately, but I believe that to be solely due to the lack of Animal Bone out there.
Blue Coda - CRAFTED LEATHER
Animal skin is good, but Crafted Leather lets you combine several other higher cost base mats into the final product immediately. Reducing demand on the base mats themselves. Due to the higher base cost for buyback, medium quantites is best to start. If Demand is low, lowering the quantity and switching to Animal Skins is good also, if the other two manors with this seed are down or doing the crafted leather.
Red Cobol - CHARCOAL
Watch your other two competitor manors...pick the reward that is in more demand unless they are both doing the same. If both do Enria, make yours Charcoal and vice versa. If it's 1 each, try one of the two that fits your manor lording better. If your doing Enria, make sure to boost the amounts. Otherwise small to medium is fine.
Chilly Cobol - ANIMAL BONE!
Set this to bone, and never change it! There is a serious need for animal bone for crafting and not even close to enough supply. Max supply is the only choice worthwhile here.
Blue Cobol - SILVER NUGGETS
Small quantities. There are 3 other manors who can handle this item, so pick the one everyone else isn't doing. Thons requires more fruit, so boost amounts slightly if you do that. If demand for Thons rises, there is no big loss if you don't do Silver Nuggets for a few weeks.
Thorn Cobol - METALLIC THREAD
Like Crafted Leather, you want to bypass the need for intervening materials. Plus your doing stem on the low end anyway, so why double up?
And thats the low level seeds. I'm low on time so here is a quick rundown on the Codrans....no word on any Coba's until I've checked them out futher...my cheat sheet hasn't added them in yet. =P
Sea Codran - THREAD (For the Formal wear buyers. =O )
Otherwise go Cord once demand slacks.
Chilly Codran - MOLD HARDNER
Blue Codran - COAL
Twin Codran - MOLD LUBRICANT

Thx for the tips Pain. At the moment im just selling 3 different seeds to check out if ppl would actually buy, one of them is red cobols for varnish i believe. Ill take your thoughts into consideration and see what i can put up next round.
LickN: Not to sure about that, hehe. The castle was left undefended and my old main was signed up. So we sent two parties from Giran defence up to see what we could do. By the time we got up there (I had a crash before going up there, and had trouble logging back in....) Warforge had gotten there and already scribed. So we put up a fight and got it. They didnt make it easy though, as I got stunned a total of 3 times. And when I finally finished my scribe and they got ported out, one of their dwarves was somehow left in there too.
I tried to take her down, but she had pots and b-ss, and I had none of that. I pleaded with her to sell me some right there, but for some reason she didn't want to. So I had to give up the attempt to down her and run around the throne room some. Eventually I realized I could port out to the outer courtyard :) <3 mrsmiter!

I would suggest put some high-demand seeds too, like those for charcoal, varnish and specially Chilly Cobols for bones.
Innadril has now half of previous buyback, Giran and Gludio has pretty small amounts too :(

I know Biggy, I am not blaming, just complaining that I was unable to exchange stupid 900 chilly fruits in C3, and now in C4 it is even worse *sigh*
At least Gludio runs them now too.
Why did they lower seeds and fruits amounts anyway? :(

As near as I can tell, they have reduced the amount of raw mats we can inject into the system and at the same time have reduced the number of items we can craft and inject in. Honestly, the bigger hit is on the raw mats side.
It looks to me like they removed some of the mats from the manors and moved them into drops and spoils.
I'd guess that Korea is much like here, and if enough people worked together in C3 you could corner the market on certain mats and control the market too easily.
Now in C4, say a clan decides to try to control a crop and therefore that mat, they're not going to have as big of an impact because so much more is coming from drops/spoils.
The other thing that people seem to be missing out on is the high end seeds. Our top 3 produce Synth Cokes, VoP, and Mithril Alloy.
A single VoP reward is now taking the place of 30 bones, 3 Varnish, and an SoP. That's a helluva reward, and they had to compensate somewhere. Same with the Synth Cokes and especially the Mith Alloy... those are high end mats, so getting one of those is the equivalent of a crap load of the lower end seeds.
It's also worth noting that we can now buy back 10 different seeds at Innandril. So they compensated for the new ones coming in by reducing the totals of the older ones.

Yes nice seeds but maybe you missed they are pretty high lvl thought.
Low lvl seed still more easy and faster to farm.

Im pretty sure he didnt miss that fact actually.
Like anything else in this game, the higher level seeds give the higher level rewards. While it may be harder, it pays off more.
Which is the point Bigs was making.
Bighands
03-01-2006, 07:10 AM
Yeah.. yet more high lvl content added.
The point I was really trying to make though is that by adding in the high level seeds with their high returns that they compensated by reducing the low lvl seeds returns. Well not really the returns, but the amounts on the buybacks.
The way it is now, if you are high enough level to farm those high end seeds, you will actually make way more than by farming low level seeds on an alt. If you ask me, that's the way it should be.

Animal skin is used in more than just crafted leather, so i thought ppl would need that more than crafted leather. Its also a rather low return (only 200a). Ill see if i can set any of the highers seeds to crafted leather though.
I discontinued 2 of the lower seeds, but the blue one is still in there.
Edit: I couldnt set any high seed to crafted leather, so i put the blue starter seed back to crafted leather. I also changed from Thread to Cord.
This was done today, so one buyback period will still be with the old rewards...

Okay okay, i am still trying to understand this manor system. Do you have to buy a seed from the manor and then go out and sow the mob the lv the seed is. Once you sow the mob you can harvest them if they turn blue like spoil. Once you obtain a fruit from the mob you can turn it in to th emanor dude to get mats? Man i should sow each of my mobs that my party kills.. Can yous sow mobs in Necroplises or catacombs?

They dont turn blue. You get a message if the sowing was succesful

Yes. However with only 1 fruit you may not get anything.

Yes, mobs in there give multiple fruits.

My recommendation to all Manor managers is to not sell as much seed, as everyone it seems, including myself have an abundance of crop waiting to turn in. I'm currently not participating in the manor because of this.

Interesting idea Beer, not sure if its worth the risk though. Max buyback is max buyback no matter where it comes from.
There are many seeds out there for sale that arent as wanted that you can seed and be able to turn in everytime. Just like anything else in this game you have to pick your spots to invest.
While you will make less by doing the lesser wanted seeds, then you would with the higher volume seeds; some is always better then nothing.

I have considered reducing seed sales, but the problem is, I have no idea what backlog is out there.
If anyone has a backlog of crops to turn in, I will be more than happy to shut off seed sales on that particular seed until the backlog is cleared. PM me to make arrangements.

smittie, the problem with the blue coda is that if u set CL as reward and return not enough seeds, you'll get nothing. So I think Animal Skin is still better, got like 300 skins with 200 seeds.

Ok. Tonight the blue coda was changed back to animal skin, so next round of seeds will give back animal skins instead of Crafted leather.
I also added the Thorn Cobol, for metallic thread. Ive seen ppl in giran selling metallic thread for about 4k each, this has to be cheaper than that!
Thx for all the suggestions so far. Ill try to implement new seeds when I can. But some of them I find a bit strange. Highest seed i have is lvl 7x seeds. As far as I know Oren territory doesnt have that high lvl mobs...

Newest addition: Golden cobol - Type 1 reward Varnish of purity. Seems i cant sell more than roughly 200 of these.
Should be a good way to get those mats, since crafting them involves CBP, Varnish and SOP....
