Warning, this is a whine thread, if you don't like it, skip it. =P

Ok, so we level some twinks at orc barracks and as usual there are several afk player parties running around. We (2 nukers, a warrior and a dwarf) start hitting/shooting them. After the third or so time they run through the camp we .. well .. camp, us two nukers drop some, going red, 12th pk for my lil' DE wiz. We start washing. Along comes someone statring to attack the other red nuker, I tell him to stop and why we're red and he atcually stops.
The same afk party comes in, prolly having realized they're missing their healers. They res them and one (I still don'T know why) goes purple on the healer. O_o
We drop the guy and the healer who healed him, going purple, too. Yay! Two free kills!
Then an enforcer comes along and oneshots both of us reds for 2K dmg each. Of course I drop my weapon...
Now a +4 Branch of Life may not be a lot for most of the people here but considering my main is still wearing BW, C grade jewelery and a Homu, that actually does hit me badly.

So who picks it up? The guy who came and tried to kill us and then stopped. I ask him if he's going to keep it and he starts fidgeting around and pulling reasons to keep it from the air, actually saying I'm making HIM feel bad for asking him to return it and his alliance supposedly telling him to keep it...

So, why am I posting this?
Simple.
I can understand why we have problems.
Not only does NCSoft make it harder and harder to 'police ourselves' but then we have the other legit (I'll give everyone the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise) players who go out of their way to be arseholes and punish other legit players for killing what should be our mutual enemy...

I'll never go red again on whatever, too few people around who are worthy. ...and to think I go out of my way to res people in remote locations and always giving them their gear back. Bah. Humbug. Screw this. =(

This to me is the weak part.

He should have said yes or no. Simple thing. Sucks if he just said no but at least it would have been a strong stance. I hate it when people can't decide what they are about. You either believe in what you are/do (whatever that is) or you don't.

In any case I hope you are feeling better. If not, then just figure out the rest of the joke :p

Well, he actually brought up loads of stuff... really weird reasons.
If I wasn't such a ... polite *cough cough* person I would've sent a 'geez stop trying to pull reasons out of your bum' but I resorted to 'just keep it then'.

The person who took your weapon and the ally that said to keep it, is awful. We have a hugh bot problem and for someone to pick up and keep your weapon for killing bots is awful. I think we'd all like to know the name of this person and the ally. What a shame that legit players have to be this way.

Anyhow about sineater, not many low levels are going to do this quest, they are more concerned with other things.

I dont think flaming a person or a whole alliance would help someone. You'll have to agree that the flame might be very subjectively, as you heard only one side. As far as i know, this person wasnt there when Badger chased the afkgrp. The explanations the person got were the truth, but may also be just a strategy to get the stuff back. Imho its not fair to egg a whole server against a person, just because he wasnt sure whether to trust or not and i guess so does Badger.
Its enough that our alliance know about this and we'll take our consequences.

Before this war started I lvled a pair of de mystics where else but in de town :p So I'm out there and it's FULL of botted dwarves. They kill all the mobs. To hunt, you have no choice but to pk one so all the others force log when you get close. You literally HAVE to hunt red. It's noob gear, yes, but its still annoying to replace. I have to hunt with one char and go red on the other de mystic (2box) because so many players see red and charge. All in all, this just continues to protect the bots. But then again, as so many say, they wouldn't be there if people weren't buying adena in the first place. Irony is, so much adena passes through these websalesman, this guy probably just helped keep his prices low and pick up a free gift for it.

That's totally lame. I'm lucky whenever I've died whilst red I managed to "only" drop my armor, and have never lost anything important enough to remember while red. Still sucks, I had a simaliar experience in Orc barracks, I was on my scav and was running back to gludin, saw a bot there get a big aggro so i tried to stun it to get it killed, it worked, no drop so I continued on my way, a certain member of a clan - that becuase of major asswhoopage previously, has removed its clan tag (bust stupidly forgot they still have an ally tag... :confused: :o ) saw me flagged and made a B line for me, started whaling I diddnt really feel like starting anything so we hit each other a few times, I stunned him and continued on my way once again. Then came the shout trash talk, which I ignored.

I got 250 or so, but my pk count is 4 atm sorry.

having 55 pk count makes you an idiot, not a tough guy.

my pk count is 2 (I killed two bots ). Got killed during queen ant raid a few days ago. I dropped my BW gauntlets. So I dunno where that legend about being safe if you don't go red and stay under 5 pk, but that's total bull.

That rule is only for PvP, you can't drop in PvP unless you are red with 5 PK, if you die to a mob in PvE there is always a chance that you drop something (except your weapon).

1) its kinda hard to do sineater quest at lvl 20 (so jus save your pks for higher lvl)

2)i made a assasin recently and i did notice the multiple bot groups in OB but i was getting full groups killed training them on a lvl 20 wearing robes... the dwarf or warrior should have had no problems training... and you could have got some gear instead of losing it

3) when in doubt train bots it may take a few trys 4 you get them killed you may get pked when the bot master atks you w/ 3 bot groups but your set to gain somthing... alot of times the "player" will get on a dd and atk you while his group of support flags while buffing/healing him change your target gank them while they stand there flagged

if you go to ToI 1 latly you will see this works instead of all 4 rooms having bots now maybe only 1 will and thats only till i get on my BH... drops this week = theca gaits/doom shiled x2/doom helm/elven earing/140 SoP
my SE got pked a few times but its well worth it

I've almost given up on training bots. I don't understand where you guys find trains that don't forcelog. If I train 1-3 mobs on them the bots can easily kill the adds. Train anything more than 3 and they forcelog.

Never ever worth going red, imho. I went red a few times on my mains, only by accident, and 5 times out of 6 on bots or farmers.

I gave up killing bots a long time ago. If you need them out of your area. tell them you need the area till your done, and then keep bringing mobs and stun the healers till they leave. I don't kill bots, mobs kill bots.

It is hard to resist not trying to finish off a purple bot though.

But if you do go red, you HAVE TO go somewhere else to wash. If someone is watching the group. They just can't wait to come back and make you pop. It makes their whole day. prolly get to eat two lunches that day.
