wut weapon is best for sws?

im a sws lvl 52, im just wondrin that if sword or bows are best for a sws? can u guys give me reasons.

why: You already have high crit rate and you always get song of hunter it will make you do fairly nice damage even for a sword singer do a little +str if you wanna hit a bit harder too

for PVE get a damascus with focus, best damage dealing sword with SA combo
for pvp get a BoP, look your a sws, your not going to do much damage anyways, some may say actually get an AOBA /W Health so you stay alive longer, which is your ultimate goal in pvp because you are for support, and you need to be able to stay alive to keep songs up, but maybe a bop to pop a few shots and get lucky and crit for 1K on some soft targets... but overall i'd just get a damascus with focus so you can lvl up :o

Anyway you can do some dmg in pvp with a BoP ... sure, its hard to do it as sws but you have to decide ...

either you go to a DMG-setup or to a HP-Setup.

I prefer for myself the dmg setup.
So i am walking around with a total -11con ( +5dex, +4str, tallum armor ) and a Bow for PvP and Sword for PvE.

Shield blocks are very nice for PvE so for my opinion dont take a 2 handed sword for it.
Depending on your high DEX you will have many shield blocks.

The bow crit from a sws with +5dex and +6str is a bit dmg anyway ^^
And you will do almost every 2nd hit a crit with hunter up ;)

Would focus duals be also efficient for SWS? I know they do not have masteries for duals, but they can have ++crit rate also.

Nope ,i tested it ...bad choice.
You do almost the same dmg ( a bit more ) but you lose your shield blocks .. so .. NO

My good friend Vasyaa uses a +7 bloody orchid with focus SA and he says nearly every hit is a crit. He tried 2 handed and one handed swords but still prefers a dagger. He also has a Carnage for PvP.

And with tallum i had 925 atk speed ^^
It was really crazy !

-11 CON sws is a bad idea IMO, your not a DD, your a support class, you need to stay alive for your party, not be teh first one down ><

Either way, Damascus Crit. Dmg prob best option.

I play like its fun to play for me ... and think its a good idea anyway.
Do you know another supporter ( except BD for who it counts the same ) who can fight in UD with a Bow hitting with many crits and at least a bit dmg ?

I like to play him like that ... and you should see the attack speed with bow ;)

I have the pleasure of also knowing vasyaa and hes has a great set up, the dagger is def a great idea. Not sure about lowering your con by -11, however it is lie desavor said, you want to set it up like you would like to play it. On the battle field if you want to do damage your gonna have to risk being killed quickly and running around with little buffs. Or go with dagger, substract from str and add to dex and con, that way you can crit alot, have decent damage and stay alive.

If your striclt PvE then go damage route like desalvor, however if you like seiges, I would go with health, think youll get the best experience with staying alive. I know I played a BD, and I went -con, I was dead so fast, wasnt fun for me at all, expecially when flags are down. Got rid of the -con and took form str and added to dex and con instead, was alot nicer.

I would probably go with dama w/ focus just because you look really cool. I am sure a dagger would work, but they look a little small ^^.

i always get confused with those +con, str stuff, and how many times i can do this dyes? i dont wanna be good at pvp, just wanna kill mobs faster. pvp is like a dream to sws :D

Agree with Jiggles. Blue Wolf sucks compared to Zubei IMO. I refused to wear that PoS [censored] armor. When I was Bgrade I had a +3 Zubei set and it was alot better then BW. The Pdef is the same BW but you get alot more HP with also overenchats work better because of the set bonus. I also had +3 str and +2 dex tats which made this config alot better and cheaper then BW. Also had more HP.

BTW you get 7 speed from the set BUT you also lose speed because of the minus DEX. So in the end its like 3-4 gain speed? Never understood the logic of BW any give speed while lowering at the same time.

I cry when people wear blue wolf. Not only does it look horrible but it supposed to be a DD set... but it lowers dex which is really big for dps. If I was a gladi i'd personally go Zubei heavy or Zubei light or BW light.

haha sws in dc heavy :X nice one pp. as far as weapons go i enjoy two handed sword for evasion @ my level 110 evasion isn't bad and many archers and melee classes sub 65 wiff on me hella lot if i put up water even more wiffs :)
