Hello Kain server, I just recently quit WoW after 2 years of playing. Had multiple max characters with fully epiced raid gear but I just got tired of it. When I saw the L2 C5 video it reminded me of one of my most favorite Japanese Animation Movies Vampire Hunter D : Bloodlust and I decided to give L2 another try. I have an Orc Fighter level 5, DE fighter level 3 and a human fighter level 5. I just cant decide on which class to play. In WoW I had a 60 warrior, 60 mage, 60 paladin and 60 rogue. I need some help in which class/race would be best for me! Thanks!

Welcome!!
well Orc's are lots of fun with crazy milliondollar skills.
DE and Humn can become knights, who are the only classes w/ hate (aggro control) and are always in need for party play.
There's the two main upsides... GL! =)

well sounds like you want to pvp...

Archer is th e best way to go, and you can go HE from your human fighter, or PR from the DE fighter.

how ever you can also go dagger which is sapoused to get better in C5 which will be here in a month or two.

the DE fighter could also go SK or BD... bought is good classes.. and SK will beable to hate in pvp in C5, so it's up to you but them your chooses.

Play the one you want to play....

But remember only one can get those new player buffs.

L2 is not a beer and pretzels game you are used to. The whole risk vs reward equation is not what you expect, you need to be prepared to undergo a significant paradigm shift here.
A word of advice from the start, unless you intend on playing a lot (and I mean a lot) forget any nonsense about running multiple characters. Its hard enough to level up and equip one character legitimately much less have multiple chars running around equipped to any effective level.
Where L2 "rewards" (and I use this term losely) you for your dedication to your class is by allowing you to subclass at lv 75, essentially raising another class on your main character which you can switch back and forth through an NPC.

The game doesn't really pick up untill your first class change and then steps up its difficulty with every grade change henceforth.

The majority of the server is probably in their mid to high 50's so don't get freaked by the empty starter towns. As you level up you will eventually catch up with the rest of the server population.

As far as classes go, you need to understand the duality of L2 wrt the PvE vs PvP environment. There are classes which are efficient at PvE but not so effective at PVP and vice versa.

Melee casses tend to fit into the former category whereas Archers and Offensive casters into the latter. Support classes are just that and by themselves don't perform efficiently in PvE or PvP.

Bottom line, choose with a class which you identify with the most in whatever aspect attracted you to L2 or plays to your imagination. If you're a powergamer and care for naught but stats then chose between an Archer or a Offensive caster (might want to consider a dagger in C5, but they get the nerf stick every second chronicle so you might want to stick with the more consistent performers)

Other than that welcome to L2 and enjoy your time on Kain :)

forget that ...lineage is one of thosse it takes forever to get anywhere games.if i could have done it all over again there would be two support classess i would have chosen first.
get a prophet get an artison. make d-ss when you can until you bleed from boredom.after you make some cash get your human fighter a class that has hate.
look for any leveled raid boss you can.make your loot is the
key here. after all that...you should have a better understanding of what you really want to be.
you have your prophet and arty making you money for gear, and you have your hume fighter playing the game . thats what i would have done if i could of done it all over again.
