Hello. Brand new to L2

Hello everyone. I just quit WoW as it got too boring and after much advice, was told to get this. So, here i am. Hello everyone. :)

I have no idea what to expect, so I will spend a few hours playing 2nite and get a feel for the game. :cool:

What to expect well..

In lowbie areas not a whole lot tbh. Just grind away get your levels and move onto Gludin/Gludio/Dion. At Dion the game starts.

As this is your first toon, you will struggle for gear. My advice is do every quest, get on as many raid parties as is humanly possible and make friends.

heh. sure....I was spending about 8-12hours a day on WOW (and if any of you ever plyed wow at l60, then you'll notice straight away why i left!) grinding isn't a problem....and I'll do what you say (although at this point i have no idea where those palces are!).

As for bots, what are the tell tale signs of the bots? I'm use to spotting CS bots, but not mmo bots! thanks :)

Heh, well there just bot like lmao.. Become so use to their behavior that you just know.

I'm finding the controls really quite weird..but im sure i'll get use to it. The amount of times i've just slumped back in my seat and tried using the wow / cs keys is laughable.

Also, i've noticed two chat planes...one for combat (i assume) and one for chat, however, the combat is coming up on both of them. is there a way of stopping it on the bottom of the two?

There is. Click the hammer-y-looking icon in the bottom left of your chat panel. It'll open up a list of checkboxes where you can fill in your preferences.

And I don't have to tell you this, since you're coming from WoW; Do all the quests you can in the newbie village.

If you are european then sure go to Teon. If you're not I suggest you go to another server. Teon is probably the most populated and gank and scam and hate and drama and political server of the entire game. Also it's most likely the one with most bots and ebayers.

Don't get me wrong, if you're into drama and ********s of pvp and intrigue and backstab teon is for you.

Most fun server to play on until you get tired of being overzerged.

Well, like i said in another post, as about 2/3 of the people joining a young Clan like mine never show up, you have to have a lot of people in order to have a few active members :p
Hopefully this will get better with their new Clan Academy thing coming in C5 :D

He he no, actually we dont give them anything until they participate in 2 or 3 Clan Meetings with us, then yes, we have pretty cool stuff as Clan Events rewards (how about a C-Grade Crystal Dagger +4 ? :p)
