I used to play 40k way back when I was at school, and since there is a club on barracks, and little else to do (except drink) I have been giving serious thought into starting again.

Is there anybody who plays here? How is the game doing lately?

Used to play Fantasy regularly but most hobby centers around here closed down.

Now the only way to get a good game in is to set up something monthly with friends.

And yeah, they're always adding new stuff to 40k so I guess it's doing pretty good.

Orcs 'N Gobbos ftw.

Tyranid Invasion anyone?

I took a look on the new models out there, quite some fun stuff.
Had a lot of those models, but I tended to build diorama with them...

*sigh* I wish I'd have some kind of scanning tool so I could upload some of my old pictures...

Hell, that was the time before 2000.
**** I'm feeling kinda old now *sobs*

My friend forces me to play him nearly every other day online on DoW:WA. Managed to beat him once with the Orks, that's about it though.

I quit out of 40k about a year or two back.

I'm not sure how GW manages it, but the cost of the models/squads goes down (overall) but the cost of fielding a decent army continues to go up...

Last time I priced how much it would take to make my Chaos or Tyranids current I nearly crapped my pants.

I'll stick with WHFB and WARMACHINE for now, ty.

That would be very cool, so here's hoping

I used to play a bit of 40K when I was a kid, but I found I enjoyed painting the minis more than actually playing, which I really don't like these days. I play a bit of Dark Age (https://www.dark-age.com/) now, and enjoy painting their minis a hell of a lot.
