Hello all I recently reactivated my acount on lineage tho i say im newish as my highest lvl char is only 17 :)

Also I would like some advice about classes. My lvl 17 is an orc going to go raider at 20 but im not sure whether to make a new charecter and wonderd whether i shud or stick with the orc.

If i do make a new charecter it would be any of these:

Dark elf blade dancer
human Gladiator
human warlord

Could anyone possible outline who these classes fair at later lvls and which would be difficult or such also if you think theres a decent melee class other than those three pls do say :). As much info as poss on this pls ^^

Stick with your Orc. Orc Raider -> Destroyer will be one of the most fun classes to play in C5 with the boosts they get. Destroyers are already great to play. You will be a force of nature!

Now, having said that I don't know how much downtime (resting for HP regen) you will have but in C5 they boost the HP regen while sitting (significantly) so this may be a non-issue until you pass level 40.

I play an Orc Raider right now (with an SE out of party providing buffs) and it is one of the most fun classes I have played.

You asked about these classes:

Raider -> Destroyer: this would be my pick.

BD: you will be in very high demand in groups and you also solo very well. This would be my second choice.

Gladiator: no experience with this one...

Warlord: with an SE grouped this may be the best PvE (you will get XP very, very fast) but I have heard it is tough PvP and very difficult to play solo. No personal experience playing this one.

Good luck! Just be sure to pick a path you HAVE FUN playing.

as a raider going destro, get a pole and pole till you get to higher lvls of your 50's then swich to a two hander.

You can't really pole with out a healer, and VR...SE is best for his.

As for the other 3 classes, WL is the same as to that of the destro with a pole. great PvE...not so hot in PvP.

Glad and BD, only 2 classes in the game that get dual weapon masteries.

while glad is up close heavy hiting dmg dealer.

BD is also a heavy dmg in there won way, their dances are party support and they really inforce the other classes as a DD more then they are, in PvP.

both BD and glad can solo. but need a buffer to do so. self buffs(BD class not glad) don't cut it.

they are two different classes.

Glad also has some long ranged skills. and at later lvls are much harder to beat with the changes in C5.

Don't forget that you could also go tryant...which seem to be a very good PvPer and DD in C5.

you wont be saying that soon when you get rolled by them.

I know this hardly counts but I've played one in olym on PTS and just barily won a lucky last hit. while he went on to beta a ton more players.

trust me they get off their skills very fast.

Gladiators have one saving grace - Sonic Rage. Before, they were too gimped to consider a PvP class, but the ability to charge TSS and do damage at the same time is a great asset to them. Granted, it's a 78 skill. Not exactly enough to start a reroll train, but they can at least compete.

I'm speaking outside of the Olympiad, of course. Even dwarfs are good competition in there, not exactly your everyday PvP, tbh.

no no; it's not.
But I'd think thats what half of the top end is tho. olympaid fights.

while the other half is open field ganking, and farming for cash.

Even if you don't want hero, thats a major part of L2.
