ok, I posted about this a long time ago on the L1 boards back in 01, maybe early 02. It was in a poll melantus was taking on whether people would pay like 18 bucks a month for a mmorpg. My response was that if it had the ability with multiple monitors to dispaly not just what is in front of you on your normal dispaly, but what is on each side of you in addition and possibly above your head.
Well, I'm still waiting..... lol
As time has progressed and video cards have evolved, this is pretty easy now if you use a couple video cards with both dvi and vga connectors and have a few lcd flat panels you can surround yourself with. lol
Imagine the immersion level of playing a flight sim with 3 or 4 large lcd panels around ya, it'd look like your in a cockpit, You would turn your head to look out your side window. It'd also be great for a mech or helicopter game. Look up to see the 4th flat panel above your head showing ya the sky above.

Sweet, pic 1 is nice.
Pic 2 is def how the pro's do it, but antiquated in my opinion
Still.. both pics are apreciated :)
The setup I'm picturing for myself would be another 32" lcd for a second side and using my main 37" for front. Pic 1 's monitors are way too small for good immersion tho and not angled enough for side views. I am suprised tho with two right now, the amount of heat each flat panel puts out. If I ever did find a cool multiple monitor game and went with a 3rd and 4th, I think I'd need to turn up the air conditioning or build some sort of localized ventilation. lol

Cool. Now why don't you explain how you copy and paste in the L2 client like you state here (http://boards.lineage2.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Board=general&Number=687272&Sea rchpage=1&Main=686950&Words=+Stahlklang&topic=&Sea rch=true#Post687272). I'm sure lots of people are still waiting for your "explanation."

The only Word Processor feature I've managed to find in L2 is Shift+Home to highlight your whole sentence. Just Home works if you want to change the chat channel. Shift+End also works at highlighting everything you're typing for a quick Backspace.

If you had multiple monitors can you just have lineage on the center one with other apps like L2 chat on say the left one and your browser open with websites to the right?
***Edit***
Well i had another monitor laying around and gave it a shot.... For general use it's fine, but you cann't game in full screen mode. Unless someone has any idea how to prevent if from minimizing?

It works fine for me with 2 monitors, both are lcd flat panels. And I use an nvidia video card. You just need to make sure to setup the display properties for each monitor. And don't go with clone.

I have two 19" LCD but deactivate one of them when playing L2 because it really just lags. It's great for other things. Somewhere sometime I did see someone spread one L2 session out across 3 monitors. I still can't figure out how to do it on two monitors.
