With Dawn of War still up and running, and the Older Warhammer world being far more suitable for an MMO, they are going with the Old Warhammer =P. 40k Would be better as an Online FPS.

Well, allow me to disagree :p
Look at Fallen Earth (http://fallenearth.com/) for exemple, if they ever get to release it one day ;) it's gonna be an excellent post-apocalyptic MMORPG, so W40K would just be the same kind of game, only more futuristic, and (a lot) more violent ! :D
There's already plenty of background to make it as an excellent MMORPG (i know i've tried to come up with some rules for a W40K RPG and it worked pretty ok...)

Then all you have to do is look at the worlds most popular MMO's and see that its the Old World style thats in the lead by miles. Tanks and Vehicles wouldnt be practical in an MMO, they would only be there for show, and since theres alot fo Vehicles in 40k, that takes away alot of variety in what people can play.

Im glad the chose the Old World for an MMO, its far more suitable. Again 40K Would be better as an FPS.

Hm... no i dont :p
Look at AutoAssault, they do have vehicles, used for combat and not only movement, and it works fine !
And look at StarWars Galaxies (well, before their NGE crap of course), they even had spaceships, and it worked just fine too !
So, the technical knowledge is here, the background is here, the players are waiting, let's do it ! :)

I am hoping that, with the release of WAR, people will wake up and realize that Blizzard's success is based, by and large, on blatant copyright violation.

All of their "Craft" games were stolen from Games Workshop's Warhammer Fantasy Battle and Warhammer 40,000 game lines.

A WH40K MMO would be cool... though, to really work and get the 40K feel, it would have to feature certain things that the majority of MMO players are not really into.

Some friends of mine and I have kicked the idea around as a lark, maybe I'll post up the ideas they have...
