Hi Lineage2 players,

I heard and read a lot about this game recently and wanted to give it a try. Looks like this server is the newest, so I decided to join here even though it says it is designated for European players.

Is it really hard to get started for new player like myself? It's been around for a long time now and I know that this game is pretty hardcore in terms of getting gears and leveling, so I ponder. And then on top of that, I wonder if I would be able to find like-minded players that I can find and play with regularly, be it foe or friend.

I noticed that the bots in this game were very noticeable even in the starter town where I am at... hopefully it isn't as bad as many people say it is...

It seems that many people suggest making a dwarf and spoiling materials to get money, but I am not so excited about playing one. Are there any specific tricks or perhaps a few good quests that can net me some good money? I need to start thinking about making money for good gear soon.

By the way, my in-game char name is the same as my board name and I am planning to be an elf scout. Not sure on archer or dagger just yet. Will have to see.

Nice to meet you all.

Only play a character you want to play. Otherwise this game is brutal.

Had I started with a dwarf I would have quit. So it depends on your personality. This server is newer so you should be ok as long as you don't mind the siege times (this server is only a few months old).

oh.. and if you see "me" running around, it's "not". ;)

this server is more friendly to a new player than any other.

This server is friendlier and seems, with the new patch, the game is more user friendly, too. One nice new thing I noticed is less of a bot population than when the server first opened, making it a lot nicer to level now.
Welcome to Franz and L2. Hope you will like it and want to stay around for a while.

If it helps at all, it seems there are a lot more bots in the starter areas than the higher areas (I prefer to think, its because they got banned and need to start over )

it is because they are banned, ncsoft is actually banning those that you petition now every friday. so make sure you use those petitions
