Hey all! I'm really starting to dig this game, however, I'm starting to encounter lots of downtime and my character is only level 8. Is this a sign of things to come? My character is a DE Fighter, btw.
Also, can anyone make a class suggestion to a noob who usually finds himself soloing in pve/pvp? A class that doesn't have a bunch of downtime perhaps?
Thank ye all kindly!

de fighter? you can go abyss walker (dagger user) really powerful in close combat, or shelin knight ( tank, sword and shield) awesome defense and not bad at soloing. both classes are good at pvp
edit: as for downtime, every tuesday they have regular maintance, and now it seems there is a bit more since c5 came out, but it's usually not bad at all

You turned level 8.... Go back to your towns newbie guide as he has a few buffs that will help you out.... Make sure to sit and rest as the regen rate has been increased in C5.
And be on the lookout for any Herb pots that drop.
Yeah, and try to go after white or green mobs (their name is green when you click on them), since theyre easier to kill. You may think they give you less xp, but over time youll see that you'll get more xp than yellow/red mobs.

Sorry, I didn't explain the downtime issue more. By downtime I mean in game. Having to rest after every fight to regain mana and such.

You should talk to the Noobie guide, get the ss for sure. Get the buffs in town before you go out to hunt.
You should be hunting Greens to whites for sure.
You also need to pace yourself better. If the Greens are causing you to rest alot, you need to move down to light blues.
The key is xp over time, not xp of the single kill.
I would also look around to see if there are any kind buffers about when ever possible. Ask them with a Please and your would be suprised how many will give you massive buffs.
Oh, the pots that drop. Get them asap. They do help alot at that level.
