Heroes ?

it has been 11 days now that we have been without any Hero characters . we are approaching a siege weekend tomorrow and i know clans across all servers rely on their heros to both defend and attack castles . can any of the GMs explain to the community and to the unfortunate few that have obtained hero for the first time this month when we can expect a fix for this unhappy circumstance ?

I have been the hero Hell Knight on Kain for the past 6 months, and since this seems to be getting out of hand , i feel like i need to step up as a representative for everyone . being realistic , it isn t just the heroes that benefit from this system , it is every player on each server from the guy who needs a Mammon located or a WTB/WTS shout done to the Nobles trying to set up a night to compete in the Olympiad ( BECAUSE IT TAKES 9 PLAYERS TO EVEN GET THINGS STARTED NOW ) .

We lost 3 of our 6 castles last weekend due to lack of Heros, but was no mind, was teh best seige weekend since sometime in c2, we didnt loose any of the big ones anyway 8P.

Relax, have fun, enjoy it before it gets back to normal.

I want my hero status back as much as any other, but may as well enjoy this short reprieve.

Since you seem to have so much to say on Heroes, how they are earned, and their influence on Sieghardt, I would expect you to have some knowledge of the people to whom you make your accusations towards.

every hero thats ever been a hero has done nothing for the servers but been in those most hated clans that just take castle sieges whenever they feel like it.

hero = useless glow effect and free gear.

show me a hero that has gone and done something heroic, and ill sell you some oceanfront property in arizona.

I was making a point that you should not talk about things of which you do not know. It had absolutely nothing to do with heroes. I don't think that would even qualify as going off on a tanget...you were never on the arc to begin with.

Also, I wasn't being snarky with you, I was being sociable (I even agree'd with you). I really DID have fun that weekend.
Oh, and I don't place a blanket belief over all of catalyst. Just a chosen few... who happen to be Hero alot...

And as for the hero influence, I say it again: Why did the ally with 90% of the heros hold so much castles and lost so much the day the heros were gone? I dont like Heros (friendly or enemy), I will never do and in my eyes the whole thing with balancing pvp/classes to fit them in olympiad is just wrong.

This is, or should be, rather, my first month as Hero but that should not change whether you know me or not... Not even know... One should atleast be able to recognize his enemies' names. I just don't see how you can talk about olympiad balance and distribution of Heros when you can't even identify by name the people who it affects. I'm not trying to sound arrogant, if I come off that way. I'm not trying to harp on you, you seem like a cool guy and decent to talk to (the people on blah make my head hurt) but it just seems like you don't know what you're talking about quite as well as you feel you do.

It wasn't the Hero Fear quite as much as the fear of heroes. We held 6 castles because noone challenged us. Is that fear justified? Certainly. Could we have held SIX castles against the odds we faced at aden last week even with hero skills? Of course not.

I agree, it would have been as hard as it was, with or without heros. But I think its because there were no heros so much ppl signed up. Its maybe not the hero fear but the fear of the heros (like I rooted myself last time against orkor, that wasnt fun...), but hero skills do make ppl sick of sieges. I remeber seeing a fraps where like 20 ppl were killed while they were running against walls, could have been some IC siege, was in the throneroom, but even with carebear scrolls siege doesnt make fun this way.

We all know, heros will be back, and we know that you guys will try everything to take back back everything, so I want to redo your words: Relax and have fun while it lasts.

Started beating on one last seige and was like...if I keep hitting him he's gonna be able to 2-shot me >< so I just had to sit there and tank him a while lol.

While he had frenzy once (whyever but some archer shoted him down and then stoped after he frenzyed lol) he killed 7 cata in a row ^.^
