View Full Version : Two-Boxing?

Does anyone know an effective command string, for a healer?

I recently got another account to 2box with, and, I haven't been able to get it right, as of yet.

If anyone's got any ideas, I'd love to hear 'em. Thanks a bunch,

Dr.Z

Command string?

You just sort of tab over and hit the buttons.

It's not that hard. :p Common macros for 'slaved' boxes:

/target [master]
/useskill [whichever] heal
/attack

(Only recommended for carebears or healers with fishing poles)

/target [master]
/target [master]

(Same as above)

And for crazy polers with SE boxes:

/useskill Greater Heal
/useskill Battle Heal (repeat this line as needed)
/delay 15
/useskill Greater Heal

etc.

After the healer heals you have them attack you twice, it will make them auto follow.

I have an autofollow macro and buff macro. I never use heal macros.

To the OP use folling maxro if you dont want any unpleasant surprises.

/target [master]
/useskill [inset skill here]
/target [master]
/target [master]

Unless you happen to be flagged or red. Although I think flagged you still need to use force attack command.

Shrimpstoo

Yeah, as far as I know it only attacks you when your red.
I have NEVER been wacked my any of my two box buffers ... ever

Oh I almsot forgot , I wanted to post other usefull macros you cann have when you have a healer as a two box.

Macro to root/sleep mob -> this will root/sleep the mob the Master has targetted

/target [master]
/assist (changes target to mob master is selecting)
/useskill [root or sleep]
/target [master] (auto follow back on master)
/target [master]

Buffing whoever the master tagets (usefull if you get asked alot by people to buff and your too busy doing something else) I find it usefull because most of the time when I two box, the two box is on my laptop and I dont want to use the touch pad to target other person

/target [master]
/assist (changes target to mob master is selecting)
/useskill [Buff]
/useskill [Buff]
/useskill [Buff].. etc

Followed by a "follow" macro. usefull in all situations when you two box gets stuck or any other situation.

/target [master]
/target [master]

To empower roots and heals: use (blessed) spiritshots on them. As you cannot use shots in macros directly, put them in some hotbar somewhere and drag it's icon to macro box. Then it will look like:
/target master
/assist
/useshortcut 4 1
/useskill root

/target master
/useshortcut 4 1
/useskill battleheal

and such.

To solve the whole attacking problem, simply equip the two-box with a fishing pole. ;)

Ever so small delay.
I do notice it when I put a sptring of buffs together in the same macro. Buffing using macros probably takes 1.5X longer than buffing manually.

I use a macro on my bishop that says:
target myself
use shot
battle heal

There is no delay (at least i cant see any)

MalineII

There is a delay on the shot use that I find unappealing enough to mostly forsake macros - I've been using them to buff on my prophet to make staggering buffs easier (I can drop off a single buff on myself to signify a macro I gave out to all people who need it in a group), and because it means the EE can keep operating (healing, doing his buffs etc.) while she's doing her thing.

The delay is painful to watch when she's in robes rather than in heavy though, nevermind with an acumen weapon- I start doing them manually then. ;p

If you're partied, you won't get smacked from auto-follow if you're flagged/red. If it's out of party, well, the buffer will never level; wouldn't you feel sad for the buffer?

/invite solves all.

Doesn't help anyone if the buffer is 70+ already - and the leveller lower ^^

Put the buffer in clan/ally with you, you have to /force attacks on red/purple.
