Wind brought tidings from Eva, birds sang in a tongue only elves with a pure heart could understand. They whispered in Clarimonde's ears as she ran up the ramp leading to elven village. The spirits were high, every cell was quivering in anticipation. The quiet village was screaming in joy to welcome the new elf for entering the world. It had been a hundred years since they last had a new addition.
As Clarimonde entered the village, the guards smiled and nodded at her. Elves of all shapes and sizes hurried to meet her. She didn't know a single one of them, but she could feel it in her heart that this was home. She would fight for these faces and bleed for the honor of elves.

The townsfolks knew what was coming. They had not forgotten the special day every hundred year when the Mother Tree Glade was to give birth to another elf. They saw the leaf fell off as though they were right there, they heard the name annouced through out the forest by the gentle breeze. None the less, the elders did not miss the shaking of the Mother Tree branches.
The elders were called to an emergency meeting soon after the sign. Only the elders knew what the prophecy said long ago.
There shall be born two elves under Mother Tree Glade with such powerful energy within the children that the branches shall shake in fear and in joy. One will slaughter her own kind until the blood shed overflows Lake Iris. The mood will tear over her cold blooded hands and birds of happy tones will forever peck on flesh of the victims. The other will befriend our dark dark siblings and see through the race boundaries. The world will listen to her tales and she will free the innocent spirits from Shillen's grip.
"What do we do? What do we do?" one of the elders paced up and down inside Eva's Temple north of the village as if attempting to perform the eight-shape dance.
"Calm down, Magister Esrandell." gesturing Esrandell to sit by him, Hierarch Asterios said in an authoritative voice, "the prophecy will come true regardless of what we do. This elf is a child of Eva and as servants of Eva, we shall raise her like we would any other elves. We will teach her what it means to be an elf and pray that she was born with the love of elves in her heart. I expect none other than the very best care of her from each and every one of you."
He eyed all four of the elders keenly, looked deep into their souls. He could tell they weren't too happy about his decisions, yet they will always respect his orders due to his high ranks in the elven society. They were soon dismissed to bring the new elf in for the ritual bathing ceremony. After everyone left, Asterios stood up from his chair and turned around to face the half statue of Eva carved into the wall. The marble eyes of the statue reflected sunlight in every direction, created a mysterious flow of rainbow colors within the stone.
"May the blessings of Eva be with us always. I pray to have the intellect to make the right decisions for our kind when the time comes."

Under the always smiling sunshine, the figure of a young elf ran throught the field with a couple kaboo orcs chasing closely behind. She stopped every now and then to cast a wind strike at her ensuers. Once, twice, and the orcs were defeated, with not a single scratch on her brand new tunic of magic that Magister Greenis gave her. Clarimonde ran back to the lifeless bodies of the orcs to collect the amulets that Sentinel Kendell asked for. She was so proud of herself for being able to help out keeping the forest safe.
On her way back to town, she remembered her first kill.

It was another perfect day, Clarimonde stumbled into an old guardian tree Traent who was t******* its roots on the ground in anger. He explained that the mischievious goblin raiders around the forest would not leave the trees alone. They cut down branches to make clubs and beat on the Traents. She promised to scout out the little monsters. With the help of the birds of the forest, she located one of the goblins and tried to snuck up from behind but the little creature, having been trained as a professional scout of its kind detected the young elf's clumsy tactics. It sprung aruond and started screaming. The sound was unbearable, Clarimonde thought she was going to faint. With all her might and one eye closed, she cast a wind spell but missed. The goblin jumped in her face, knocked her on her back and with a swift motion sliced her wand in pieces with its long sharp nails. She was deep in fear and her instinct for survival took over. She didn't remember much afterwards. When she finally came back to her senses, she was sitting alone by Starlight Waterfall, covered in blood. She couldn't think and refused to remember. Her reflection waving in the water with the bright full moon smerking behind it.
She felt horribly discusted by herself, she had no right to take away another being's life! Clarimonde panted for air but everything was covered in crimson red blood, her mind was panicing, her lungs were filled with tears of regret. She wanted to cover her face up so no one would see her but there was something sharp and shiny in her right hand. Her squire dagger that Master Ellenia insisted her to take before she left the village that morning was now soaked in blood and a golden medallion stuck at the tip of it. She recognized the medallian, it was the same ones that every goblin scout would carry right on their chests when they go on missions. Clarimonde dropped the dagger into the water in fear, she didn't want to admit what she knew happened. The dagger quickly sank under water and disappeared from view, leaving traces of blood along the way.
An eerie night breeze blown through the forest behind her, the trees were whispering to one another about what happened. The rumors spread, the acusations made, branches were all pointing at her. All of a sudden, a fish flipped into midair.
"Why the sad face, my dear?" the fish asked, bobbing at the surface of the water.
"I killed a goblin...I didn't know the goblin but I killed it...and now its friends and families will never see it again...and it's all...it's all my...my fault..." Clarimonde finished the sentence in sobs.
The fish fell silent. For as long as the fish had known elves, he had thought they were only a bunch of pretty faces with arrogant minds who didn't care about others but themselves and their silly forest. This could be an interesting case, he thought to himself.
"Your fault, you said? Yes, it was all your fault that a goblin family will never see their loved one again. It was all because of you," the fish paused for Clarimonde to let out an even more drastic cry. "Yet in my opinion, there is no absolute right or wrong. You killed the goblin in an attempt to keep the Traents' home safe, therefore benefitting the Traents and it's a good deed in that sense."
Clarimonde sniffled, looking at the fish intently, what he said make sense in a very odd way. Her brain started to swivel, putting pieces together. There was so much for her to learn about life, about this world.
"It all comes down to choosing sides. If you ever read the human history, you will see a pattern that the righteous side always win the final battle. That is because the ones who won ultimately proclaimed to be the good guys. But only the Gods have the right to decide what's right and what's wrong."
For a second there, Clarimonde thought she had grasped the concept of that but the sound of something fallen into water broke her train of thoughts. The fish was gone. She felt an energy growing steadily inside of her, calm but powerful. She spent the rest of the night cleansing the blood off. Although by day break there was still some traces of pink in her soft white hair, but she didn't care. She could feel herself growing up, stronger and smarter. She knew then that she would be something one day, something so great that she could feel the wind on her side aiding her onto a path that would leave her name in history forever.
