Need help, cant decide between HE or TH

Hi, this is my first rogue class, i am currently level 33 and havign a bit of trouble deciding what route to go at level 40.

People have told me to level with a dagger regardless of going HE or TH up to b grade, doesnt really make sense to me, but i realize when i try to level with a bow i run out of mana so ridiculosuly fast, even without using skills i find myself resting really far to often, unlick when i just use amelee weapon and i can pretty much grind until i run out of soulshots.

I just mainly want to be able to solo and hold my own in pvp, my previous character was a warlord and it could pve, but in pvp i found it to be severly lacking.

What i want to know is, as a rogue to hawkeye how should i level, should i really be using a dagger, ignoring my actual archer abilities?

And which is better for pve/pvp hawkeye or TH. I am usually strickly melee, my first character was a bladedancer, second character was a warlord, third was a prophet which i leveled with fist weapons.

I am attracted to both classes but, TH kind of turn me off with the whole positional attacking, and archer mana drain per shot is fairly irritating, hopefully it gets better as i level up buti dont like the idea of running out of mana just using auto attack.

Any advice would be appreciated, I dont want to choose a class before 40, and i am at the level when i can still use the blacksmith to fix my weapon.

keep A dagger to use while your mana regenerates after using your bow.

the thing is, this is no longer really necessary. youll only need to do this until you get the skill "Pain of Sagittarius" which converts HP into MP. so spam that with an elixer and off you go again.

the whole dagger thing has become moot for some. SR will need to do it though, but not HE.

they don't get it till B grade (in fact lvl 58) so still use dagger (DS with focus) till B grade Then get your first bow

I was asking a question, and the thought of leveling an archer as a TH for the first 51 levels is a turn off, id rather just playa TH.

It's more efficient to level an archer of any race with a dagger until B grade. The soulshot consumption of c grade bows is horrible in comparison to a dagger. Top c grade bow consumes 10 c grade ss where a dagger will consume only 3.

You can level more eficiently with a dagger up until b grade which is why people have suggested that. Afterwards grab a b grade bow which is easier on the ss consumption and you can level with a bow from there. There is ofc nothing to stop you from levelling from 40-52 with a bow, it justs uses a heck of a lot of soulshots in comparison.

You also have the option of levelling with a dagger in a melee group with friends should the urge/need arise.

PS: Starting from C grade, Bows get an SA called "Cheap Shot" and it works wonders for MP management. Surprisingly you've not heard of it if you've leveled so many other toons past lvl 40 by now :confused:

Also, as for leveling with a dagger till B grade, I say screw that and use a bow. You will restock a lot more, it will cost you more since it's 10 Css per 1 arrow, but if you can afford it, why not eh?

Cuz levelling in the right spot with a dagger is so much more efficient in every conceivable way.

i dunno. in the right place you can kill almost 3x mobs because you dont have to run to each one. maybe cost wise its not efficient but exp wise i think it just maybe.

You'd be leveling on 4X mobs with a dagger w/ no downtime. (Cat/Necro ftw)

well i think lvling with bow and dagger is best.
Im currently lvling a scout going SR and i use the bow for like 10 minutes, not stop shooting. then whip out the dagger while mp regains. works awesomely, and better than cats cuz they are full a lot of the time.

PS. im lvling on the ol mahums in FoR. i earn about a lvl a buff round at 26...maybe 98% a buff round. :p

I agree. In my opinion HE owns. Its fast dmg dealing char. And nothing is on your way to train in dagger up to 52 and then rush to hit by a bow. TH is best on lov lvls but when you lvl up your HE you own man.

Well i,m going for TH because i like the playstyle of that toon. i dont care what is best for PvP or PvE. i play the toon i like not the toon that is the best. I see alot questions inhere about what is the best PvP toon and all they say HE. This can be but do you like this toon realy? I think you will regret if you only choose a toon because they are the best PvP toons on papier. Beside this i think you realy have more fun when you try to beat a stronger PVP toon like a HE. I mean when you play the toon bad then all toons can be defeted.
