Im not exactly sure what to do with this skill....what is it used for??

It's a nuke, kinda crappy, but since I was using a 2-handed sword for the better part of my early lvls, I liked using that nuke to cut mobs in half with newbie buffs and stuff.

I use it as a first strike nuke. Use Bsps, cuz the damage sucks unless u hit anything holy. Then go and chop away with your rapier.

Abyssal Blaze + BSPS (+1 soul) with my +4 Cranequin seems about as efficient as my dark wizard with +4 SOL and her nukes.
Of course I speaking about damage, not MP management.

AB+bsps > nuke alone, < nuke+bsps.
While hunting 1/2hp mobs, with nuker it's better to use no bsps, but sometimes it's not enough to 1shot, and AB is not very far behind. If I use bsps, they both 1shot.
While it's nice to 1shot a pink 1/2hp mob with AB+bsps, that skills has a bad reuse time so you use it from time to time to speed-up xp. (Cranequin is bsps x2)
On the other side you can't use bsps all the time with nukes (SOL is x3), or they go too fast. So you need to manage between 1shots without bsps and 1shots with bsps.
Maybe I'm just twisted, but that make them comparable (not equal). It's far from crap IMO.
