Best Transform for xp

I would like to know which transformation is considered best for an A grade tank to use for xp. I have used Death Blader which results in about 15-20% more xp/hour for me.

I've never used a transformation. So I'm curious exactly how does the Death Blader result in +15-20%xp/hr for you?

Also, would you (or anyone else) mind giving me an explanation of how it's ordinary attack works? I know the transformation gives you new stats, and you can only use the active skills of the transformation creature while retaining all your passive skills. And I've heard while transformed, your attacks still use whatever shots you have active.

But how do your weapon, shots and armor affect patk/matk and pdef/mdef? Does having a weapon with a higher patk make a difference? If not, does that mean you could pre-equip a non-grade weapon and therefore use non-grade shots to get the damage boost? Does your weapon SA carry over? Do armor bonuses carry over? Also, can you toggle your shots and/or inventory whiletransformed? Etc. etc.

I've visited various sites and searched the forums, but I can't seem to find these answers.

Use the first transform you get, the shiny cat, and wield a dagger. Works wonders especially where herbs drop.

It does not alter your stats completely. The transformation has its own primary stats (str, dex, con etc), which along with your passives and equipment (armor, weapon) redefine your stats.

So since the death blader has more str than the TK, I get 15-20% more dps (due to lower dex a slight decrease in attspeed (about 30) and crits (about 10). Also the Death Blader has some AOE skills, which prove useful.

I hope the new Gracia tank transformation (if the translation is correct) will help in the direction of faster xp. Gracia will come in 3-6 months.

For the present I heard there are some nuker style transformations which can result in much higher dps. Is that true and which are those?

Anakim is a drop of the dusk RB, so it is rather impossible to find it around.
Any other suggestion?

why cant you get a group and DO anakim?

i.e. ninja Dusk by festival.

so you wont wait 6 mo. for Gracia, and you wont try anakim for the chance at a good drop that is potentially worth HUNDREDS of millions of adena if you sold it, and if you did anakim and got a SECOND drop to USE it.

i'd say youre wasting a golden opportunity to have some fun in festivals, and fun fighting for anakim.

BUT

failing those probly your best bet at a transformation for EXP is to get 8 different ones and chain them together continuously. grab an OE'd Focus dagger, some GSAP's and a ton of SS and go to town.

All transformation but the Pig has Human Stats set up.

40 STR 30 DEX 43 CON

then your passives comes into play. your tattos, and armor and weapon.

So for a TK yes it would help it a lot becasue of the simple fact a TK is a LE which Stats is 36 ST 35 DEX and 36 con.

Transformations are also good for Buffer/Healers (best if you wear Light Armor) for PVE becasue you can buff up and transform with Human Fighter Stats.

Basic Transformations (non RB ones) do not help Human Fighters in anyway at all it's the same dam Stats so Useless to a DA or Paladin,. yea the DA or Paladin could get a Dagger but it can also use a Dagger Staying a DA or Paladin and sill Keep his Bread and Butter Stun.


Worst for Archers because the Attack Speed Nerf Transformations get with bows and Crossbows.

Transformations are a Waste for Nukers they can kill much faster just as they are.

Besides you would just be a Fighter in robes with a weak melee weapon.

actually ash u gain atk speed bonus wearing robes from the robe passive u get at newbie lvls =p so buffers/healers that didnt wanna spend sp on light armors still gain something wearing robes

Even if it's a wannabe Destroyer/Gladiator, the stance will probably increase DPS for better xp. It's not like tanking hits gets you xp anyhow, and this topic is about xp gain.

It will help a lot soloing and a party can have 2 tankers, the stronger tanking and the weaker as a DD. No excuses to not have tankers in party anymore. If ncsoft make a decent transformation of course.

If you want 2 solo with Robes Defence and you can't heal trasformed go for it. ;)

That depends on how much DPS the transformation gives, and more importantly, how long it lasts/recharge time
