View Full Version : Where to lvl 61+ HE

Okay... I subbed a HE, am 61 and have been xping in EV around where the Valley Treant Elders and Unicorn Elders are with my 72 SE. XP isn't bad but I've wanted to move on. I tried Field of Massacres... xp sucked and my SEs mana was drained from healing me too soon for my liking. Tried DVC ... xp sucked BIG time.

I'm in NM light and still using a +7 DS with focus. A friend lent me a +2 Soul Sep with CD to use but I've got so much ssc on me I'd figure I'd burn through that first with the DS.

Everyone tells me to lvl with a dagger. I have a +7 Bop with CS that I've been trying to sell but no luck yet. Once that's sold a clannie will sell me his +3 BO with Focus. Also have a clean carnage bow from sub quest. Clannies will give me a red 11 for SA so I'm pretty much covered for the A grade bow.

My other dilemma is my clan is warring a lot of clans so I'm looking for someplace fairly safe to xp. Thought about the catas but it's tough getting through to the back secure rooms with just my SE.

Suggestions? Hope this all makes sense. :D

best xp would be forsaken plains either in the pit or on the right side which is a bit more safe. other option is frozen labyrinth in schuttgart. gl

what sepultribe said. When you start to outgrow FP, VoS or the 1/2 HP mobs outside Goddard would probably be good. As a fighter class, it helps to be a bit higher level than the mobs in VoS, as some of them have very high evasion. And you will be in that posotion if wait until you outgrow FP, at say maybe 64 - 65.

Forsaken Plains is ideal from like 52-62 and you will miss it badly after that. VoS is a tough transition unless you have healer help because things can go bad really fast there, particularly if you are around the Pilgrim or Judges groups.

BUT - the XP rate is fabulous.

You should be able to solo with self-buffs the mobs outside Goddard (Beast Garden). Start east of the city, where the mobs are lowest level, then do north of the city, then finally west of the city. Roughly: Antelope/Kookas then Bandersnatches then Buffalos then Grendels. Note these mobs can both nuke and stun, though, so you need to engage with care.

VoS is where you will end up living from 65-70 or so, just keep going deeper until you have green/white mobs. Be sure you get all the (repeatable) VoS quests too since you will be grinding there a lot.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I think I'll try FP. VoS might be a bit unsafe cos most of the clans we're warred with run through there. What about BS?

Grrr... ported my SE to FP to scout the area for enemies and sure enough a few minutes later a few come thru. Can't compete with them at 61 when they're 75+ and heroes.

Big surprise the good grind areas are patrolled by the war tags huh? :-P

Burning Swamp is going to be tough until mid-60's but is decent through low-70's. The advantage of BS is it's better for a duo/trio. The bats are bow weak which helps, but they group agro, so have a healer handy.

Sounds like you probably are best off making a Witch's party and be safer in numbers, maybe.

lmao... safer in numbers yea. But trying to get a party in WO at my subs level is like pulling teeth. ;)
