We were not successful :( Lost our Aden CH that we'd owned for 3+ years ... ah well.

But, we will not be homeless. We have arranged to purchase a Schuttgart hall from someone privately, and should have it in under 24 hours.

We know the seller is massively profiting off us (the guy in question bought no less than THREE halls, in Schuttgart, Goddard and Giran) using his alt clans. He'll keep one and sell the other two. But hey, if he has the money and business sense to do that, more power to him. And he's a legit player, who's doing us a great personal favour in giving us guaranteed first bid. So we are thankful :) Rather him than some bot or farmer!

There are a lot of old established clans who lost out though, and they will be understandably angry (especially where they already owned a good hall and have now lost it through no fault of their own). My hope is that when they add the Gracia landmass, new CHs will also be available.

MAX BID is 2bill period. Who ever bid 2 Bill and was ahead of the lesser bidder got the Clan hall.


Say Clan A bid 1 bill and clan B Bid 1 Bill. Clan a gets worried but don't have more money so they stick with 1 bill. At this point Clan A will get the hall.

Now here comes Clan C and they bid 2 Bill at this point clan C has the hall in the bag.

Clan B saw clan A never rebid so they guessing they Bid 2 bill so they said screw it they are first bidders so they have the hall and just stays at 1 bill. (yet if they had up they bid to 2 bill clan B would have the hall) so now Clan A see 2 clans that Bid after them. They are scared at this point that some one has Bid 2 Bill but they don't have 2 bill.

Now comes clan D they late 2 the game (losers) they see 3 other clans have bid on the same hall they thinking bah weak clans with no money we got this and they bid 2 bill. Not knowing clan C already bid 2 bill so they have it in the bag so far.

Along comes clan A Ally clan E they loan clan A 1 bill and clan A ups the bid to 2 bill.

Guess who gets the Hall

So... what to do what to do? Some itty bitty people have squeezed out very large numbers who could benefit from a clan hall. Will the big clans make these others go bankrupt? Will people try to game the system to win them? Do clan halls matter any more?

If two (or more) clans bid max, it does NOT matter who was the first to do it. Only thing which matters is who was the first to BID, full stop. Raising a bid does NOT change the order of bids, that order (the server internal one, the one relevant for who gets the clan hall) is only according to the first bid.

This has been proven several times now, despite what NCSoft (e.g. Alyra) said here on the forum.

Actually, your wrong. If clan 'A' bid 50mil and was the first one on the board, then lets say Clan 'B', 'C' and 'D' all bid Max in the few seconds, minutes and or days after... even though they we're the first ones to put up a max bid, as long as Clan 'A' ups the bid to Max even at the last second, Clan 'A' will get the clan hall. This has happened time, and time again, and has been proven forever now.

Camelot (Ninja's), TheGensis (3m0) have Clan Halls. Eternal and Enigma were dead clans on Gustin.

Wow, there are some big names on that list. A smallish clan like us (Buccaneers) - sad for us but probably not a big deal in the scheme of things. But Divine? Aurora? Core? Braveheart? Two of the FS clans? Imperivm? These are big names on Hinde and they must be mightily ****** off.

I'm sure some will mysteriously trade hands over the coming weeks tho. There will be deals done, mergers made etc...

This whole thing was handled pretty sloppily. So people that could invest 1B and be quick online can charge even more or favors or whatever.

I'd love to see Clan Halls expire or be contested in a non-pvp way still. Like Raid points or something. And where are the clan halls in Oren, Hunter's Village, and Heine? (Or Fantasy Island?? :-) )
