I have to say i'm fairly disappointed at not getting a clan hall, I thought the system could have been a tiny bit better and have some requirements examples like: to attend sieges, The clan has to be this level or something like to acquire royal guards you must have this many members and so on, why couldn't it be the same with Clan halls ?
I've been looking at some clans that got clan halls and some are ridiculous, HugsAndKisses lvl 3 clan with only 2 members in it got a Giran Clan Hall (not to mention I was going for that one) and I have a clan lvl 6 with 54 members, now tell me who would have better requirements to get a clan hall ? I had a clan hall before server merge in dion and now i'm left with nothing. (if you go have a look there is a bunch of clans that are lvl3 and have under 10 members that got a clan hall)

It was first come first server you could of easy out did the little clans that are lvl 3 or less.
I'm lvl 6 and I got a clan hall not aden but I miss aden by 1 sec and that was my fault I was in a hurry 2 lock my name and when I saw the NPC's were not up yet I went to lock my name real fast when I came back it was a ton of people and the Aden and Giran halls were bid up but 1 aden.
I bid on it and it was 2 late I had second bid. I knew first bid matter most when it came to biding with people biding max.
So I canceled my bid and took the first open hall that was dion and got first bid. and my first bid was less then 2 bill. I was in the process of making the money selling weapons but didn't have the 2 bill yet but I knew all I had 2 do is bid first. then get the rest later. my open bid was 80 mill :D

A few people used their alt clans to do the bidding and will transfer ownership to the Main Clan after the hall is secured. I know 3 people who did this. Also, some were there to bid so they could sell the clan halls for more adena than that 2.1 bil or whatever the cap was at a later date.

Oh i understand all of that but you know some of us don't have that much $$$$ and because of the cap obviously the first one to bid is the first one to get it, but see i'm sure some of us don't have the proper means to bid the 2 billion cap therefore making our efforts useless, but then if there were no cap we could have tried to outbid them and so on... I had a clan hall in dion before server merge and I got it for 800 mil. Now i'm required to pull out 2 bil the minute the new servers come back up. Makes sense!!

My clan started to craft and sell items as soon as we saw the news about server merges and CHs. Those where posted 1 or 2 weeks before the merge.
The day before the merge we managed to gather the magical 2bil after 50 members had given anything from 5m to 100m (gave all my savings for great wolf weapon/armor to the clan).
Nothing is imposible if you plan ahead and have many clan members that helps you to achieve a goal.
But I do agree with you that there should be a minimum clan requirement for the CHs

But you know I was thinking, how many of those big clans that have X amount of adena and have alt clans have done multiple biddings that way, its like monopolising the goods of the server, just like the castles before server merge.
Why not give a chance to the other growing clans to have some of the goods (not like requiring you to be first in the server when it comes up and bid straight away, some of us had to change character names and change again and again if we fell on names that were already taken etc... those kind of things took a bit of time and also that some of us have an outside life and work or study, I believe they should have hold off the auction a few days after the server merge maybe on a week-end when there's more people available etc..).
I guess greed comes into play, but thats the way things are I guess, I've got nothing more to say about this. I'm not going to get stuck because of this, i'm going to move on and make my mark on this server in a different way :) Other than that I'm happy of the fact that there is more people and that should make things a lot more fun.

Find the thing that looks like this [ b] at the beginning of your post and this [ /b] at the end of your post and delete it. It's highly annoying to read a post all in bold.
Yes, they should have put a clan lvl 5 (at least; I'd actually say level 6) requirement on the CHs. But they didn't.
Yes, some people are using this opportunity to profit off others, which I don't personally think is nice, but there's nothing I (or you) can do about it.
Go get beast farm CH. Or any of the other contestable CHs. They're just as good as the purchasable ones. I know people say they're not as "secure" as owning one in town, but my clan owned the BF CH for like a year AFTER everyone in the clan quit or rerolled/transfered to Bartz. When I came back to the game after a long break, I got my CL (who is now on Bartz) to reinvite me and got him to turn on buffs and I (along with 1 friend) had that clan hall all to myself for quite a while. If a completely dead clan (with only 2 semi-active members) can hold BF for a year, then I don't think an active clan should really have anything to worry about.
Oh... and just an aside... I (and my 4 person, level 7 dead clan) am now the proud owner of a Goddard CH. :p For a little while anyway... I had nothing to do with it and didn't find out till after the bid had already been placed! Nor do I benefit from the sale! But I will enjoy the buffs/items/ports while they last! :D

Hey guys, I know some of you are upset about the CH situation and I'd like to give you my position on it. I bid and won a clan hall on Aria with my 4 man clan. I have played on Lionna for 4 years since open beta and have had a great time playing on the server.
My clan/alliance has been through everything, from being the underdogs and learning how to become a strong clan, to being in the height of power owning all player owned castles. One thing I will always have pride in is fielding the most organized players. example: we organized AQ raids and created level 40 sorc alt characters to farm epic boss jewels right when they became available and creating a strategy that lead us to aquiring the first handful of AQ rings on the server.
We mastered strategy to compete on the 7 signs festivals which won us dusk many times. We even took that strategy from Lionna and won dusk on Bartz.
We have some great epic siege battles of very few of us defeating massive numbers of players.
It is because of my history on the server; that I have a lot of friends on the new server Aria. In addition, I still have relationships with other leaders... former allies and former enemies. When I heard about the mergers, I even had intentions to move back to Aria so it only made sense to at least compete for a CH. I wonder if many are in the same position as me who bid on clan halls. In fact, I had to borrow some adenas to even place the bid (thanks shadowolf!) It must be frustrating for you to look at the situation and be upset with how it was done. Im not trying to say that you don't have a valid concern, but remember there are a lot of diverse reasons people placed bids on the new CH and I hope at least I could make that point here.
When there is no bots to blame, we blame other people ) Thats it.
Everyone had a chance to get clanhall, actually very good chance. Its just required a little of organization. Those who was able to manage this task - got their CH for sure.
For the rest - u still have chance with someone who bought it for resale )
