Good morning intrepid adventurers..yeesh..sorry for the role playing slip... :eek:

LOL, anyway, and please bear me out here, I could use support here rather than flames.

I would love some stories. You know, experiences. Events, raids, quests, group encounters, hilarious moments, etc. that you all could share with me. My goal is keep these and attempt to weave them together as a type of history book of the old server. Hindermith folks, I can't leave you guys out either, it just isn't like me to do that.

Additionally, I would appreciate the help of those players that have "hung tough" from open beta until now. To me, well, you all are "living legends" and a valuable resource of knowledge and anecdotes.

Please don't flame me, as I am curious about some of those that tend to get flamed rather hard on these forums. I have gone back to archival data to read some rather frightening and amusing things about Ebil and FighterHugo and G4b, as well. Sigh, Ebil started out in my original clan back in 2005. after she left, well we remained friends, although many really didn't appreciate her playing style. We stopped communicating after an alleged incident that took place during a Solidarity raid in late 2005 or early '06,really do not remember, but I just know that I "blew a gasket" on Ebil and pretty much slammed her. I hurt her feelings, and I'm here publicly apologizing, and have had time to ponder the incident in question. Ebil, if you still read these forums, I'm sorry and I was wrong you really were innocent and I should seen that was obvious from the start. I was just frustrated and got some pressure to "do something" about you..sigh...so I blew up..and that was my weakness. I would really be honored to speak with you again Ebil, we used to have some rather long chats in-game, you have a story like everyone else that you can share with me.

/bows to the group, sorry about that, but I needed to "clear the air". Again, no matter what the past is with some of these folks, I still would appreciate an opportunity to hear their stories from their humble beginnings to their to fame and glory. I remember a time back when G4b was with EA, he actually agreed to come and help my clan, Arakeen, complete the level 4 clan quest. G4b, I'm not sure you remember me, but we actually did speak to one another from time to time. Maybe it was just me, but, none of these folks were all that bad, at least not towards me or any of my clannies. After Antharas was taken down I went to both FighterHugo and LoliPops and spoke to them about how proud I was of this server. You know they were too, and for a second, we were ALL united!

So, in ending here, all you guys have wonderful stories you can share and for that I would be ever indebted to your kindness. Thanks again for the time reading this thread and i do hope it turns out eventful!

Yeah, I suppose I was. After all, I was still fairly low leveled compared to many at that time.

Now, though, and yeah in your follow-up poat there is way too many he/she said stuff.. Kinda like watching ploiticians stammer through a press conference or run a campaign.

But, I do believe there are people, such as yourself that have some straight forward vignettes to share. I'll just have to keep my fingers cross and hope for the best! :)

Ebil did confide some personal things about themselves as a person that I would never divulge. But, I can tell you that she did accomplish a goal and for that, be it as it may, was worthy of note.

Ok lets see...Your going to have to forgive me if a mess up on the spelling of a few names (im bad with names after a few yrs of not seeing them).

Back in OB before Gustin, I remember the handy lil air pocket under the water between TI and Gludin (free and a lot faster than the boat). I can also remember being able to move others around on the boat, and push anyone thats afk right off the side :P.

When Gustin start I can remember starting the same day as JPlandonorg (sp). And fighting many DE daggers all over RoA and Abandoned Camp. Also teaming up with JP and a few others to chace Spoon (again sp) all over the map.

In Wasteland I saw some of the most epic wars between farmer groups I have ever seen in L2. One war lasted 2 full weeks with well over 100 on each side dieing over and over again. I just sat up on a high rock and watched in aww the whole time. And the first time I ran past the ant nest to see EA doing some massive AOE pulls out of there.

I'll have to move ahead to end of C2 start of C3....work and real kept me away from C1 and most of C2.

My first week back I posted on the forums that I was looking for a clan. Kut and Duke both replied, then good old Jetta showed up to flame Kut. Was funny because I flamed Jetta hard for jumping into my thread (got PK'ed for it, but was still lmao about it). EA was a touchy bunch back then.

I joined HG while they were a lvl 3 clan. And about 15 mins after I got on Vent with them one shouts out that they got PK'ed. So Duke and a few of us run out there and right into Koga. Ended up being HG's first war and I was just 15 mins into the clan.

We had a great time in HG over the years, with some really great ppl. We had some really good wars with many different clans over the years and had a great time doing it win or lose. We cared more about making each other laugh than we ever did about the game.

I know some of you think of HG as nothing more than a meat shield. And yes as must of us were fighter classes where most of the ppl we were fighting were mages and archers. But we never gave up. At one point we wanted Innadril Castle, so we sieged it more times than I can remember. Me and Durg would compare how much xp each of us lost. Then try our best to make it back up in two weeks. But after a number of very close sieges we finally took it. Something like that just makes you respect the ppl you’re fighting beside more and more.

When the Manor system first came out, a lot of us in HG worked hard on it. Bone and Duke would study the market and set the seeds while myself and Aki held all the seeds and fruit on some important mates ;). (O. Ore was one of our fav.).

gustin has been a 2 sided server for the most part as long as i can remember.
EA v/s Anti EA
NM v/s Melevolence
Synergy v/s Gustin
CD v/s Gustin
CD & Hind A v/s NM and Hind B

In the begining there was light.Gustin grew, Gustin shrank, Gustin got merged and hard working clans got screwed but got more people to interact with once again.....The End.

My history:
1. joined some newb no name clans into low 30s
2. Joined Ravenclaw at 32 or something, with my friend Conveyer
3. Ravenclaw grew quite large, we made a 2nd clan, RCGauntlet, Led by Conveyer and myself
4. we were KOS in cruma tower starting at maybe lvl 33, (everyone leveled cruma in the 30s)
5. So we teamed up with vVv and had 9 man groups in the cemetary (i am not joking), this is how we leveled for a long time Very slowly...
6. We pick and chose our battles, eventaully ashen came in with us and wyldfire to take on EA alliance
7. EPIC FG battles
8. Wow came out, AEAA had recently screwed EA over and taken them down after many months of fighting and having tons of meetings and plans for action, this took a toll on everyone, and a large percent of AEAA and EA left and went to WoW, most never returned
8. Then the C2 days arrived, I had also left for Wow I came back to find out my clan had allied with FS (ONE OF THE BOOTLICKIN EA CLANS) i also found us with multiple botters, and maybe 5 active members besides that...
9. I thought it was time to clean up the clan and rebuild, we kicked out the botters and there were maybe 5 of us active in Ravenclaw, Vad, Dagew, myself, Candiria, few others, TinyTorpedo Shortly joined under the name Torpedo, and various other members...
9. Nightmare was against us (EA bootlickers), as was most of the server, Malevolence at this time were carebearing it up leveling on Cruma tower level 10, while the rest of us were perma stuck below 8 or else we would be pked... nightmare also spent tons of time in lower limal and at the heart...
Either way at this point RC was extremely under leveled/geared/numbers/etc...
10. RC ends up with an aden clan hall, this allowed us to rebuild ourselves, within a few months we quickly grew and almost maxed the amount of members in the clan, we had been in contact with BelatuCadrus/Sucellos/Brenwan/Bouddica (yes he 4 boxed legitly non stop back then) He created a 2nd clan for RC called Ninjas, which had lots of old guys from FS (SirHomer, PI2OPHET (now wax), and various others)... RC Quickly Grew into a 2 clan power, where we were finally able to raid on our own, we were also allied with shadoknights, demonseeds...
11. We did have an epic war vs dirtywork at some point too, as we both had aden clan halls it was non stop PvP..
12. Eventually we allied with dirtywork as well knowin they were able to fight for a long time without quitting...
13. Eventually this alliance no longer made sense and RC and ninjas both joined nightmare's alliance to fight against malevolence, since we were fighting against them anyway at the time... from here is where things went sour, our leader dagew was never on, hugo never gave us any fair share of raid drops or anything, so eventually we all grew tired of dagew's leadership and a number of officers had decided to quit, myself, vad, sirhomer, belatu included... ninjas stayed as a clan and half of us joined ninjas, half of us joined nightmare, some are still there (nisura, natael, etc)
I myself had joined nocturnus, then hugo got the banstick shortly after this, so a bunch of us went to go play RF Online... this lasted a month but got boring, so most came back to L2, and we created a new clan under our fearless leader Devy/peppe/fetto/etc called pignation

Now I had really liked this clan because we weren't at war with anyone we didnt' have allies, we just did whatever we wanted, if someone screwed with us we killed them, we only had about 20 members, but it was fun, eventually tension between devy/hugo happened due to hugo going to get his account unbanned and not peppe, even though they were good buds for a long time, devy felt betrayed and we started fighting nightmare...
at this time kamisama started helping out pignation against nightmare, eventually pignation joined synergy alliance, and at that point i detagged...

I went back to ninjas, which was still alive and kicking, i helped recruit and got us quite alive and kicking....
Ghost14 had this clan camelot, that had SoS (darkhorse and daya and g4b's clan) merged into it, so i began talking alot with g4b and ghost, we all had similar stances on botting cheaters bootlickers, etc...

we began partying with these guys and raiding a bit, and then we were asked to join their alliance since we were both fighting synergy, so it was ninjas, genesis, and camelot, this right here was the start of the power growing of CD you see today...
I had quit the game for a while due to some IRL issues, came back and found belatu had quit and gone to eveonline, and ninjas had merged with camelot, so of course i decided to join as well to be with allk the people i've been playing with for years...

I've really loved being in camelot, it is a great clan, filled with lots of great players.... mostly everyone gets along, and there are hardly EVER any bad attitudes, which keeps the game enjoyable, ghost14 is a great leader, and he is high

Well, it wasn't quite that innocent. I pm'd kamisama and said I wanted to tag Syn just so I could siege that weekend. I knew a huge force would be on the field. If Bigs had room I would've tagged with him for the weekend because some of the syn folks knew I would be a total effing embarassment to them. (which I sort of was, but it was one of the bloodiest sieges ever)

LOL, yeah I remember hearing about that "air pocket". I never had the guts to try it out myself. I did have a friend that was crazy enough to try and swim it. I just remember how slow it took. Now, hoever, after playing so many games that have and "instancing" effect, this actually was more realistic, I suppose!

Koga... :eek: OMG, I think every clan on the server either fought them or chased some of them all over that entire freakin' map. I know there was a day Solidarity did just that. Can not recall their leader's name, now, but we chased him and his healer from Gludin to wastelands up through Dion aera and back again. We finally killed the healer and i think the Koga leader either forced a log-out or just BSoEed to town, that I can't remember. LOL But I do know RenMan was bloody well hot on his heals!

mswari, I want to thank you for your time on outlining this. This was very helpful for me. I cam to the game in August of 2004 and really was just trying my ****edest to just get some level. I only knew about official politics based on hear say at that time. I did start popping inot forums, such as this one, Warcry, and [censored], to name a few. This help me sort of see the picture, but I also know that some of the junk in some of the forums were just that junk.

So, this is a clearer picture of what transpired to some degree from your eyes. May I have your permission to copy what you have given to me here, mswari?

Every two weeks you would keep coming back!

I think Trix used every ounce of his colateral to get people to come help.

The weekend you took it was a nightmare. NOONE showed up to defend.

And the reason I say I hated the seiges was because every time it was just a bottleneck at the bridge. Plus I was so **** low and only a glad. Talk about a meat shield. The only real contribution I made was to occupy one, two shots at the most, from other clan members. Rez to castle, run out without buffs, die. Rinse repeat.

Now its, Castle buffs, noblesse blessing, siege field 0% exp loss. Yup Im an old timer and you new to the game suk!

It was in the end of C4...

(When I said 1 month I meant what it actually took me to regain it, soloing self-buffed at lvl 78 in Blazing Swamp in C grade gear and taking full xp losses from mobs every time I got d/ced and there was no one around to rez me.)

I would like to argue the point that nukers make good XP, but not the BEST XP unless they're boxing stuff. The BEST XP would have to go to the almighty summoner. Have you ever solo'd a summoner? Those beast shots they introduced way back when as nasty -_-.

I've solo'd both a nuker and a summoner into the 60s+, and in both cases, they leveled really quickly even without any form of outside support. With the summoner I did solo-AOE, so I can't easily compare solo-mob on nuker to solo-mob on the summoner. My point is that for a mage, even if you are without proper support, soloing is still usually fastest -- unless you're doing mage AOE or have a the perfect party. Since losing the Rune CH, I personally have become familiar with this concept. Not to mention the convenience and simplicity of it. You make the best with what you have, and it's not a fault to not have more to do more with.

My reply was aimed at this quote above. My suggestion was showing that some nuker can regain xp faster then 1 month not doing what he did.

Another example; He was saying that he kept taking full XP losses, guess a support class with a % rez or save his [censored] when he dc's would surely come in handy wouldn't it? OMG, think how much XP he could have savedddddd.
