Forum Hero--July

Well, for Hindemithians, this may seem peculiar, but we have a long standing tradition on Gustin of occasionally declaring the Forum Hero on the boards.

The entire process is operated by me, and I am always completely fair. There are no nominees, but it's usually pretty obvious who will win. Once it is declared for the month, it cannot be rescinded.

It comes with many great skills (like thread UD, Holy AlyraUnlock, Teflon Abusahol, etc.)

A hero has not been determined yet for July, so I'm watching you.

BTW, MysticLance frequently wins.

Ah. Well Elro's post count has been noted. Forum Hero however is really based on a months worth of work. His accomplishments, if we want to call them that, are really more along the lines of a Lifetime Achievement Award or a Hall of Fame induction within the Gustin/Hindemith Forums Hall of Fame.

I'm still lolling a bit the South Park reference, and I don't actually disagree with Lv1 about Romanova almost qualifying just on the basis of the avatar.

However...the forum hero selection process does not require all this input. When I wrote the manual, I used the words "capricious and arbitrary" as part of the description.

I appreciate your desire to "help" or influence, however most likely (as it happens every month we have a forum hero), it will be evident to me on July 30th who has the most forum points. And I will then make it evident to you. And that person will have the pleasure of typing in blue text all month, as well as many other benefits and skills. (the Enemy Thread Cancel Stick and Lame Post UD being two more examples).

Furthermore-- Mi bik sikret is NOT My Big Secret in Swedish and I accuse you of being a DANE or a Nufi!

ML got totally out of hand. Even he would admit that he deserved it, however he still doesn't understand how I got him blocked without getting it myself. (my little secret)

As for the 'Banhammer six pack,' I can only say that a few folks that had migrated to Teon (Syn folks) got a bit, um, overaggressive/foul-mouthed and Alyra linked the accounts that were involved, and blew several forum accounts away.

Very effective.

Other than that, she's been very flexible about allowing things that are at least halfway justifiable. She also scored big points by sharing her ink. Made her one of us, instead of our babysitter.
