Question about character deletion

I had a trial account with a character that I deleted. The trial ended before the character's deletion had completed (the 7 day wait). I bought the game and created a different account thinking that I could use the name of the fore-mentioned deleted character after the 7 days were up. I'm pretty sure that the 7 days are up now (although it's close), but the name is still taken.

Does the name stay with the account past the 7 days? If the account runs out of playtime, does character deletion halt?

I'd really like to keep the name, but I don't want to buy another game just so I can activate the account with that name on it. (and I can't seem to get anyone to pony up a buddy key).

Buying another key won't get you that name, so i would suggest putting that one out of your head.

You know, when you deleted that name. Someone else might have registered it.....

You could had upgraded the trial account to a full account and not needed to delete that character.

The name of deleted chars are usualy available few minutes after the character with that name has been deleted.

As Splatter said, you might have been unlucky and someone else has taken that name. Try to create a char and mail the char with the name you had. If the name doesn't exist then you will get an error sending the mail (alt+b).

I'd be buying the key for that trial account to see if the character had been successfully deleted.

I didn't update that account because i wasn't sure if it would interfere with the free playtime that came with the game. I didn't feel like taking a chance.

I doubt anyone took the name, that's why i use it. But I will try the mail thing.

It's more a question of, if my time ran out, does the character deletion stop?
