what antivirus are you using? if you use AVG, it detects Lineage2 as a trojan but this is a FALSE POSITIVE. tell AVG to *NOT* scan L2.

Ad-Aware is detecting a false-postive.

Thanks

don't think he meant ad-aware but "adware" which is the generic term for bundled advertising/spyware
alot of programs will detect L2 and especially GG as some sort of nasty program because it does some fairly suspicious things..... all to protect us from other bad programs i'm sure and it is doing an awesome job!!!

GG introduced me to my wife and is now the god parent of 4 of my 5 children
awesome piece of programming imo

game guard being detected as an invasive program is not a false positive. It functions exactly like a trojan and does open your computer up to security risks. This is why there was such an uproar about it when we first got it. If you want to play the game though, you have to ignore this and tell your antivirus software to do so as well.

Still waiting on that sticky in the tech forums spam. You know, the one you promised us 3 years ago that would have the method to remove gameguard after we uninstalled the game (yeah, uninstalling l2 doesn't remove gameguard).

because a bad powersupply = unstable computer
bad cooling (some cases has extremely bad cooling) = unstable computer
